3D CAD Model

I've been working on modeling my 1977 airstream. I've done sketchup like others have, but I have found another free CAD package called OnShape.

I've made the model so it can be resized pretty easily. Anyone who is interested, feel free to check it out here:

Yes. You will need to register for a free account on the onshape site.

Have you looked at it in onshape? It is public, so you can copy it and do whatever onshape let's you do.

Airstream CAD Models

I have a few also. Done on Solid Edge and saved as step files. Have several here are a couple shown in this Power Point. Also thinking of uploading them to GrabCAD. You might check that site out, too, good stuff for free on there.

Edit: Doesn't seem to have uploaded my pwr pt. Have to figure that out...

Awesome!

I would love to have access to the files you speak of -- I'm using SOLIDWORKS for my layout -- main purpose is just to make sure my layout is legit in terms of weight distribution / fit, but also for an application i'm writing that is going to control the airstream. I bought 2 Nvidia Jetson TX2 embedded computers to replace the 1975 Airstream Control Center that was above the kitchen area and have about 35 different types of sensors to read various things, power -- water level, humidity, temps.. bunch of nerdy stuff.

Very cool

Crelex,
That's awesome! Being a software engineer, I would love to do something like that. But I didn't have the time to do it. Maybe someday. It's love to see what you do with it.
