Patrick one more question. Rear bumper end protectors - will it be possible to use these on earlier trailers?

Patrick, congratulations on your recognition from Airstream. Your videos and information has been instrumental in my selection for a 2016 FC 25RB.

I have a question you might be able to answer: My 2016 comes in Mid-June and I ordered the Solar Package. Do you know how many watts 'EACH' panel is?

Thank you!

Patrick: I've been told that the 2016 classic will have laminate cherry wood cabinet doors, as opposed to solid wood cabinet doors. Is that correct?

That is not correct. The side panels of the cabinets with have cherry laminate instead of cherry veneer. There were production challenges with the veneer and some inconsistencies. The laminate looks fabulous.

Really like the new 26U, just wish it was a front bedroom unit. Any possibilities?

The 26U is a nice addition and seems perfect for that size Airstream.

So the cabinets in the 2015 Classic WERE NOT solid cherry as was stated before? They were veneer?

And for 2016 the FACES of the cabinets will not be solid cherry, but veneer (as before, even though we were told otherwise), and the rest of the cabinetry will be a fake wood plastic laminate???!!!?!!?!??

I hope the cost has been reduced since they are replacing wood with a cheap laminate...

I believe you are misreading the statement and the cabinet fronts and doors remain solid cherry. Since I heard that it was the large flat veneer panels like the side of the fridge and the bathroom walls that were delaying production when we visited Tha factory a couple of months ago I suspect that only those panels are changing to laminate.

Laminate sure costs a lot less than real wood. More profit per unit as the prices will only go up. However, plastic does not split like real wood can if not properly cared for.

We put three five gallon buckets of water in the coach while stored under roof here in the Phoenix area to keep some humidity level inside when temperatures stay above 100 for weeks on end. We have no issues with all the real Hickory in our 2014 Classic.

Does anyone know what changes they have made in the 2016 classic compared to the 2015?

Thanks
Doug

In my humble opinion, the airstream brand is in its prime. Within that brand, the classic seems to be in the top of the airstream brand line. I trust the airstream top brass not to cheapen the classic. Maybe I'm wrong but I really don't believe tpairstream would do anything that would diminish the appearance of their flagship product. I will soon find out when I take delivery of my classic in July.

Patrick - We want to send you a belated Congratulations on your award! Well deserved!
We bought our 20'FC from you a year ago in July and can't speak enough on the super overall buying experience you provided, as well as the great customer service Colonial provides in the Parts & Service Dept. We were in just two weeks ago for some warranty work and minor fixes - awesome service & crew!

And Thank you for the 2016 26U video...we've watched it about six times. Nice unit. Let's just say it's on the wish list for the future...

In the meantime, we have been watching the 2015 20'FC you produced and posted on utube - which is super for details and has been serving as a "review" of what we bought (since we have forgotten about a few things from our Colonial trailer orientation training). So thank you!

Congratulations and many Thanks! from, the Joneses.
