$150 "Airstream" Style Trailer for Bicycle Camping

I ran across this today. This 60 pound trailer is easy to tow with a bicycle and he has plans available for anyone who wants to make their own just like it. Very cool! .

Holy Crap... You mean this last week my boss and I have wasted stumbling around the internet cause were bored silly here at the sign shop we could have been building me a mini airstream fleet to go with my big fleet?

Darn, time poorly wasted...

Here is his link to his PDF's, you can purchase the plans

As a scout leader I'd get picked on for sure if I showed up to one of my scout camps in an airstream, real sized or mini, but he's got plans on his site for a teepee. I thinks the kids wouldn't pick on me too badly if I showed up with one of those instead

I like this for a lot of reasons:

1. I'm a fairly serious cyclist.
2. I'm a retired elected official and have had a lot of used campaign signs.
3. I would have loved for anybody to help pick up the signs once the campaign was over.
4. Zip ties and duct tape were used. Two of my favorite things.

But somehow, I'm not trading in my 25'FC. It has a bathroom.

Thanks for sharing that - very creative! Would work well on many bike trails! l think it's a good project to do with a group of teens and then hit the trails! Did you see how organized his shop was....sigh!

Perhaps more like $60K with a weight of 2,000 lbs (due to marble counter tops, aluminum, fresh, grey and black tanks, etc.), but hey, at least there will be a lot of spare bits and pieces hidden in the walls and deep inside the wood cabinets, (sigh...) Seriously though, this is a great project and the detail with which he illustrated the construction is a delight to watch. And, I agree with you on the shop! Just wow! I love the innovative and creative way he conceived and implemented the project, and the love for others who might also like to do something like this that he showed by making his detailed video. Bike guys! You gotta love em. I just wish he had painted it aluminum color.
