$100k Pick-up, I'm out.

https://www.usatoday.com/story/money...uck/712173001/

Gone are the days of pickups, t shirts and the simple life.

I'm out.

It would match your 100k airstream.

I had a similar news story on my iPhone this morning. Don't remember the source. Two things from that story.

If I read it correctly, the F250 base price is going to be around $82,000. What the what?

The Ford spokesman said that they were aiming for (with the $100k models), some words like, a person that typically pulls a $100k horse trailer with expensive horses in said trailer. Yeah, that defines most Americans.

Makes my '02 F250 look all the more valuable, right?

Just sayin'.

I thought that the more your rig cost the more you can brag about it. I like to brag about how little money I have in my rig. I have maybe $20-25k in my trailer and tow vehicle. If you are going to spend $200k on a rig then just get you one of those big bus chassis motor homes.

Ok almost a $100k for a F 450 top of the line luxury diesel dully that can tow 30,000 pounds. Just what a select few might spring for.

Now if any of you have a 30,000 pound Airstream you might want to reassess what you've loaded in it.

A 2017 Ford 250 base model starts at just under 33K. These stories are ridiculously headlined to get your attention. Go to Ford's website and look into itfor yourself......

Bought 2017 Silverado 1500 with everything possible. Then we bought 2017 23FB AS. We had to sell a house to make this happen with money to travel. That's what we wanted and I would not recommend this for anyone. I didn't want to fix an AS up because I've been fixing up houses for years. And I didn't want to upgrade an older TV. Lynn and I are retired, that means we are on permanent vacation.

I think they're referring to the new super lux Limited model that has every possible previous option plus "special" stuff new this year like two tone leather, micro-fiber suede headliner, etc. The current 4x4 diesel Platinum F250 already starts at $71K.

You'll still be able to get a base Super Duty for about $33K.

The first year depreciation on that is more than I paid for my first house. I'll wait.

Not sure how accurate the story is however one can always get a truck tricked out and by the time you finish it is possible to cost 100K or more. I on the other hand will stick with my 2012 F250 diesel

According to some on here the Excursion is the devil of all tow vehicles. Best two vehicle I have ever had.
