Where to find custom A/C vent?

I'm putting an air conditioner inside a cabinet in the rear of my Bambi II. I'll be using a casement window type a/c & will need to put a refrigerator type vent in the skin to vent the hot air. It needs to be about 9" wide by 15" tall. Does anyone have a suggestion on where to get an aluminum vent this size? It can be permanently attached to the rear & doesn't have to open. Any suggestions welcome!

Check with an hvac materials supplier; they usually have various sizes of return air vents. They may be able to order one exactly the size you need.

...you could also check with a local hvac contractor, they will also have access to standard and custom vent materials

I think it would, but I'd rather not have an a/c on the roof of such a small trailer.

I'm not putting a furnace back in, so I'm putting the a/c in the cabinet where it used to be. I've already got the a/c & would love to get it in soon so I can work outside if it's hot (which it has been for weeks now!)

Would you not need 2 vents in the skin? Or are you going to continually exhaust conditioned air from the interior to cool the condenser? I think the most efficient way is to bring in outside air for condensing the refrigerant, so you'd need 2 vents or 1 big one you split for intake and exhaust.

I'll be venting the air intake from the floor. I'm doing it basically like the thread http://www.airforums.com/forums/f36/...-38289-38.html , but because I'm pressed for room, I don't have the space to add on to the back to vent up behind the license plate like he did (even tho I think its really slick). I'll need to back the unit right up to the rear wall & seal it off with weather stripping, etc. I've been surfing & haven't come up with a non-custom fit, but I haven't cut anything yet, so if I find something close, I might just order something non-custom. Thanks for the suggestions. I wonder if local sheet work shops are capable of making one?
