Storage Compartment Door Inside

Somewhere I saw a thread about covering the inside of the compartment storage doors to prevent them from being scratched by laying things and sliding things on them. I did a search but could not come up with anything.

Has anyone done this or know where the thread is that describes how it was done.

I got felt strips with an adhesive backing from Home Depot. These are in the hardware section. I placed them on the inside of the doors about 3” apart. Has worked well on my current and previous airstreams.
