Problem w Gaskets on rear door storage access

Ok just spent some time looking at mine there are 2 locks that help pull door close. Well there is so much room between gasket and door that i see daylight coming through. if this is stock weather seal gasket I am shaking my head! I am going to contact Airstream but first thought i would share my findings. Can anyone get me a picture of there rear hatch door in closed position from inside trailer. Also wanted to see how your latch plates are installed. I am thinking another 2inches of rubber thickness would not hurt. That is way off and can not think product like this would be put together so poorly.

Our "trunk" is full so an interior pic would be hard, just wondering if yours is the same as ours?

Had a leak there last Spring but it wasn't the door gasket.

I did adjust the latch arms to get the outer edge even on both sides.

I'll try for a pic of the gasket and latches.

I pulled gasket cleaned put some 303 on it and bent metal inside little bit to help pull it out more. Then I adjusted the latches tighter by spinning nut and bent latches by hand. All this alum is easily messed up by wind or grumpy owner. Another thing I adjusted front and rear windows and adjusted nuts so glass fitted tighter. Fixed few issues these AS need little loving every now and then.

Best pic I had of the "trunk"... I did pretty much the same thing to get the door to fit evenly side to side.
My leaks were at the bumper belt moldings, tail light housings license plate bucket. Repaired last Spring SFSG.

Hi, My storage door allowed cold air into it, and under my bed. I attempted to pad the factory weather seal, but with the hatch locked, I could easily push the door in about a half inch. My cure was to buy some "D" shaped weather seal from Lowes and wrap it around both edges of the door. This makes for a snug, leak free storage door. If your door is square, it might not work as well as my rounded door.

I tried and quit because it felt like it was stuck. Remove chrome piece then 2 screws in front right. Also how did you caulk the tail lights? I did acrylic r where alum meets housing. The bottom led has water inside now just how did it get there. Was thinking about using black silicone inside the trim. I did clean black rubber inside had quite few alum shavings and dirt on lower portion. Also your picture looks like what I was going to do. Put D seal under old rubber to add some thing for door to push against.
