Now I've done it, Help Andy!

Years of service finally trashed the entry door. Can this be replaced?
I'll have to jury-rig it with epoxy and some kind of a shrowd, but I'm
looking for a permanent fix. Thanks.

Good thought, looks like that crappy pot metal, though. Right now, there's a pair of vise grips on the shaft.

Couldn't really tell the type of metal it is, if it is aluminum it can be welded. The pot metel is another issue. Auto parts stores have a product calles liquid steel or liquid weld. it is a 2 part epoxy that can be drilled sawed etc. You would want to remove the panel so you could apply it to both sides and build it up
Gool Luck!

Mike.

That's a Keeler Brass lock.

That company is history, some time ago.

A replacement lock is available, but since it's on a motorhome, you would have to slightly modify the door.

Then you would have a current type lock.

Andy

I love that phrase "slightly". I've heard that before about Airstreams. It is pot metal, no welding can be done. Thanks for all the replies, I'll cs it back together in the usual "can-do" fashion; I can't stand the vise grips much longer!

Takes less than an hour to make the change.

Al and Mike
I sure could use the opposite handle on that door lock. I'm sure it's the same lock assembly on my 78 model trailer where the exterior handle is just about to become history like the company that manufactured it.
Let me know if there is some chance of getting it from ether of you.
Thanks, Jeff

I'll share; as soon as the lock set arrives, I'll let you know.
