I've seen these on a bunch of rigs. One feature to design in would be a wider opening at the end. The problem is that many of these are designed to hold the hose, but not the fittings on the hose, so folks have to remove the fittings in order to store the hose.

I have two factory installed carriers on my trailer. One holds the primary slinky with a 45 elbow connector to the trailer. The other holds the backup/extension slinky with extension coupler already attached.

Looking for a 1962 Flying Cloud
I installed one on our '65 Caravel some years ago. I drilled several 1/2 inch holes in the end caps to allow some air flow to dry out the hose. Works well. Much nicer to deal with a dry hose.
We had two extra tubes installed at the factory as part of our original build - they carry the extension and backup hoses so I can use the bumper compartment for other things.
