I have searched the forum over and I cannot find any information on these compartment locks - proper name, part #, or source. Any ideas? I need three. I have no keys and they are not in very good shape and if the $$ are not prohibitive I would just as soon buy new. Replacement cylinders would work however.
I sell several different styles of cabinet latches but these aren't like anything that I have.
it is an Airstream dealer called "out of doors mart". when I bought my 1970 Overlander it was missing the compartmernt keys, so I removed the one door that covered the power supply and took the door to a locksmith. it cost me about $6.oo for him to hand cut me a key and then to make a copy. i was amazed just to watch him take a small file and make the first key. i asked him how long he had been making keys and he said about 50 years. please check the link and let me know what you think.
I took one of my lock cylinder into the local Airstream dealer. He took it into the back and came back with a key. There must not be that many combinations of keys. He also said Airstream has are custom keys that a locksmith couldn't duplicate. So I bought two.
