ZipDee Chairs on EBAY
Have tried a couple times to post this about the chairs on EBAY. They are NOT manufactured by ZipDee, but are a generic chair manufatured as a promo item by maker unknown. I have a pair of this chair that is identical as to pattern , construction etc, but my patch says A&E Systems and my little frame decal says A&E Systems with CA address. They are nice chairs, but not $100 apiece chairs. Would be happy to send anyone a picture of mine. The seller was notified a few days ago, but has decided not to change his listing.

Can you include a link to what you are talking about or post the ebay item number?

GMshadow,
If the brown ones are the ones you speak of, they are the ones made for the black/brown Limiteds back in the 80's and are indeed the real thing. I too, have some of the A&E brand, which only have chrome frames instead of the stainless steel ones. I bought a pair of the brown ones at International last year for a friend of mine, and paid $35 for the pair!

They look like the inexpensive A&E brown striped chairs, but the frame looks like Zip-Dee and the photo clearly shows the red and white circular Zip-Dee Logo stitched to the fabric on the seat backs, similar to the more common blue chairs... Frame looks sturdier than A&E's we bought from Camping World ((once..) also...
If they aren't Zip-Dee, someone went to a lot of trouble to remove Zip-Dee labels and stitch them to the fabric on those chairs..

the Fabric, colors, and construction are the same as on my A&E labled chairs. The the stripe pattern is a little different, but decals are located the same and the decal type are the same. one of my chairs even has "Made in Italy" sticker still affixed. The close up of the fabric is the same weave as the A&E I have also.

They may well have been "made" for ZipDee, but I doubt that they were made by ZipDee
