I broke the aluminum hook at the end of the support member on my curbside awning this weekend (see pic) - most likely user error and my fault.
Called Zip Dee, discussed the issue, and they are sending me a new one mounted on the arm piece, postage-paid, free of charge. Will be a simple fix after all.
I love my Zip Dee!
It is 28 years old and still works great.
Does anyone if I would have to call the factory to get the parts list for an older awning? Do any of you have something like that?
When I first tried to put the awning up on my new trailer, I found that the "L" at the end of the awning rod was only about 1/4" long. The red plastic cover disintegrated right away since there was no metal inside of it. There was barely enough "L" to unlock the travel lock and just enough to turn the wheels although it kept slipping out. I called Zip-Dee and 4 days later received a new rod by UPS.
