Would It Work

I have been trying for months to talk my husband into another Airstream, Peppy is needing a companion. And it's always Why do we need another one. So tonight I started on him again and when he said "why" I just blurted out for a hot dog stand (just kidding) and he said sounds like a good idea. Our little town here is full of coffee shops, fine restaurants and then you have the fast food hub. This all started as a joke but you know I think it would work this being a college town It would be so retro hip and cheap. Has anybody ever been to a Airstream Hot Dog Dive?

I think its a great idea. I supplied a guy in Japan with everything under the Mt Fuji to retro his Airstream into a coffee house/ smoke shop. I say go for it. You would be surprised how much you can make selling hot dogs, pretzels, or whatever. These guys are often in the 6 figure net. I read that somewhere. Of course it all depends on traffic and location. College town is perfect. Just make sure you have Jalapeños and lots of them!

Beck the idea has potential.....it depends on your willingness to sling hotdogs at 2am to the college drunkards rollin' out of the local bars.....

some interesting wiener info is below:

http://www.hot-dog.org/facts/HotDogQandA.htm

How many hot dogs do Americans eat each year and where do they eat them?
According to recent survey data obtained by the Council, Americans purchase 350 million pounds of hot dogs at retail stores - that's 9 billion hot dogs! But the actual number of hot dogs consumed by Americans is probably much larger. It is difficult to calculate the number of hot dogs Americans may eat at sporting events, local picnics and carnivals. The Council estimates Americans consume 20 billion hot dogs a year - more than twice the retail sales figures. That works out to about 70 hot dogs per person each year. Hot dogs are served in 95 percent of homes in the United States. Fifteen percent of hot dogs are purchased from street vendors and 9 percent are purchased at ballparks, according to statistics from the Heartland Buffalo Company.
