Well its time for the shows to start again and the one here in St. Louis opens tomorrow at my workplace. Bill Thomas Camper Sales will have 4 2006 Airstreams here at the show. A 31' Classic dinnette, a 28' CCD, a 25' Safari front bedroom, and a 16' Bambi Quicksilver.

Thursday and Friday -- only the Convention Plaza and Washington Avenue entrances will be used. On Saturday and Sunday, there will be entrances on Convention Plaza, Washington Avenue and 9th Street.

I know there are two shows in Chicago. One at McCormick and one at Rosemont. I wish I knew which one or if both will have Airstream. With parking and admission, it gets kinda expensive to go to both. And besides, I have no interest in seeing anything else

I'm heading to the Chicago one tomorrow. Both shows have Airstreams. The Rosemont one is smaller and has fewer coaches there.

R & R RV sales (Airstream dealer) will be at the Rosemont show. I am not sure there will be any Airstream representation at the McCormick show since they don't share (or I couldn't find) the list of exhibitors.

The Rosemont show is small, but there are lots of boats and RVs (mostly SOBs). We bought our Bambi off the floor at the Rosemont show a few years ago. Not sure yet if I'm going to go to either this year.

Saw a report on WGN TV news from McCormick place showing a custom Skydeck and other AS coaches.

It is going on right now through Sunday. They have a 25 ft. Safari SE FB on display with a price of about $29,000 ($58,835 MSRP) because there is some extensive hail damage on the backside. Otherwise it is a great floor plan. There is also a 16 ft. special edition Bambi with a strange jungle theme interior and cabinet handles that are miniature Easter Island statues.

Other than that the RV section was mostly white box trailers and 5th wheelers and a lot of them were toy carriers. There were two Class A motorhomes and a few C and B motorhomes. Boats were fishing boats and pontoons. The bigger RV show is next month in Minneapolis.

Jan. 20-22 at the Nashville, TN. Convention Center downtown. Didn't see any Airstreams there when I went several years ago but who knows. I did see some interesting items.

Well back from McCormick place. Don't waist your time unless you are into boats in a big way. Lots of monster motorhomes too. 5 camping places.

The Rosemont show is mor for camping and RV type stuff. I guess I should look at the title of the show closer. Boating, outdoor and RV show.....

On a good note, there will be a AS dealer about 20 min from my place here in about 2 months.
