Anyone in range of Seminole Canyon State Park, about 40 miles west of Del Rio, TX, can get in some great winter hilking to some of the oldest pictograph sites in North America.
I have taken all of the hikes at least once, and I'm going back Feb 1 for the all-day Pressa Canyon hike. The winter weather there is usually dry and moderate. Members of the Rock Art Society lead the hikes which are moderately strenuous.
