No, I wasn't planning on it because of the rally fee structure. The rally fee structure doesn't offer any pro-rating; it is one price for 3 nights / 4 days (i.e., Fri - Mon) but we can only go for one night (Sat).

Axle is now on the Argosy, and new tires. It is cleaned and ready to go next weekend.
Terry and crew are tired, but the deed is done.

Getting Rid of Pesky Buckthorn

Repositioned the Airstream in the recently expanded parking area to get it out of the way of the snow plowing this winter--all 400 ft. of driveway! Got to finally test the running lights, brake lights, backup lights, and turn signals. Found a few bulbs out. At least I hope it is bulbs. Put in a new battery just in time to have to take it out for the winter. Needed to replace the old corroded connectors. Everything seemed OK and tested out.

What I really did mostly was take a chain saw to my woods and cut down dead trees and buckthorn. Some of the buckthorn was ancient with 6" trunks and over 30 ft. high. Most I can pull out by the roots. When I first bought the property 27 years ago I could not walk through it because of the over growth. In between I caught snatches of another Minnesota Gopher win, Vikings win, two losses by the Twins, and Ryan Newman's 8th NASCAR win.

Mother In -Law's birthday, but spent a week in Wis. last week. Then, I usually need a few weeks to repair the little bits that broke off the old girl. Maybe get one more weekend before the parks close.

We will be the ones with the black Dakota, towing "Old Rivets", the '72 20 footer. That big Armstrong A/C unit on such a short trailer makes for a strange looking rig...

We didn't even know there was a rally
till after we made reservations at anotther campground close by the rally area.
Maybe the real WBCCI members would let us crash the party, since we are there anyway...

jpurdy,
I'd love to head for Atlanta--or anywhere NASCAR is running. One of my goals in retirement is to attend every Cup race.
