Who's up to speed on water heaters? Need some suggestions...
We currently have a 6 gallon tank water heater in our 64 ambassador, it's about 7-8 years old. I'd like to replace it with a more modern version. Can anyone make some reccomendations? Gracias!

Atwood makes a licensed copy of the PrecisionTemp unit. Verify features carefully.
Truma is another tankless IIRC.
DW loves our PrecisionTemp temp for her super long hot showers...YMMV.

Do you have any gripes with the old 6 gallon tank version? Do you want a tankless specifically, or are you just looking to see what's out there?
We have a tankless, and we boondock most of the time, so we rarely have an opportunity to use its abilities. If we spent a lot of time with hookups I'd probably feel differently.

We have installed the Truma "AquaGo comfort" models of tankless water heaters in both our 2014 Classic and 2015 23D International Serenity. We love the instant on water heater systems. They skinned the corlon plastic cover with actual Airstream skin aluminum to match.
The folks that did the install for us also do lots of "full" restorations of vintage Airstreams and they are installing this specific water heater in the rebuilds.
A&P Vintage Trailer Works in Paradise, TX (about 30 miles NW of DFW airport).

We also have an AquaGo water heater.
Like Switz we also have the Truma "AquaGo comfort" model tankless water heater. Our is installed in our 25' 2018 RB Twin International.
Colonial Airstream installed it before we drove away. Colonial is an authorized Truma dealer/installer. They are located @ 1121 NJ-88, Lakewood, NJ 08701. Their phone number is (732) 367-4499.
The AquaGo has worked as advertise. Long, unlimited showers. A good way to brush off those long road blues.
We have been on the road since the beginning of March. We have experienced 3 full blown snow storms. The AquaGo has had no problems.
The unit has a special "antifreeze" setting that has worked every time, even when the outside Temp was well below freezing.
And, in the end, that's the kind of "comfort" we were looking for when we bought it.

Can we get a bit more factual detail on that, please?

For now, we are mostly hooked up at state parks and campgrounds. Truthfully, I have no gripes with the tank version, other than my specific unit looks like it needs replacing.
Boondocking on the east coast??? do tell
