Greetings and concern from the UK!
We all have lives that intersect here and to hear of the misfortune of one of us is saddening. My very best wishes to Terry, Marie and family.
Get Well Soon!

Terry and family, I'm so sorry for your misfortune. I hope you are up and around soon, and can get back into your normal routine. Of course, part of that routine has been your participation here - I hope to see you back here soon.
Keep your head up, a positive outlook makes a world of difference both in your general attitude and your physical recovery.
See you soon here,
Dave

Marie, you and Terry continue to be in my prayers. Thankfully you have a trauma orthopod reasonably close, albeit nearly 150 miles away. I've seen the trauma guys do amazing things with horrendous pelvic and acetabular fractures and seen patients do very well.

Give Terry our love. And from one nurse to another, take care of you, and don't forget to stop and breathe once in a while.

here is an update,

i just spoke with terry, he is awaiting transport to tampa for surgery.

he was alert and still has his sense of humor. i told him there was 6 pages of well wishes waiting for him to read when he gets a chance to get online again!

he was very happy to hear that, and wants to thank everyone for their kind thoughts and prayers!

john

Terry and Marie,

Ike and I are sending wishes for the speediest recovery and healing possible. Our thoughts will be with you as you progress in this process. Thankfully, you were wearing a helmet.

John, I wanted to send something but the link took me to an email. Is that right? I email the bnsf & then get a Paypal link?

Thanks,
Theresa

thats because all that link is, is just an e-mail address. thats what address you would send $$$ to using paypal. just to try to make things easier, i just whipped up a quick and easy button. click the button and fill in the info, and $ will go to Terry. this will take you to the button

i'll donate some $$ myself. wish there was more i could do.

Well, you've already done something positive. I might never have gotten back around to sending a donation without your quick & ingenious response. Who knows how many other people will now contribute!

dangit, i cleared out my paypal balance first expecting to use my credit card so i could at least get frequent-flier miles, but paypal didn't give me the option, taking it out of my bank account instead.

they're getting VERY sneaky about not letting you fund with a credit card, and it's ticking me off!

oh well! the important thing is terry, not my measly miles. thanks again, klaws, that was quick & painless!
