It could be worse, the new one was on sale for $30 less than the 3 year old one that shuffled off its mortal coil this evening.
Marie didn't tell you she extended her electronics experience by installing the new router with minimal supervision from me. We'll make an IT person out of her yet.

Terry, you need to write a book about all this!

How is your Rig? Have you been able to visit it?

I'll be able to go see it when we go to the storage place to rent a spot to keep our stuff while we are in exile, the trailer and storage room are in the same place. Marie has been checking to make sure it is at least still sitting where it is supposed to every month when she goe there to pay the rent for its storage.

Good evening,

I took Terry over to see Goliath this evening. Everything seems fine.

Unhappy Gosh, you don't check in for a while....

and all hell breaks loose. I lost most of the month of March to antibotics, fighting off a whopper of a bronchial infection, then the grandkids came for a week, and then I went back to work... so I haven't kept up with your oddesy.. until tonight. What a story, what a challenge, what a couple!!

This makes my leaky heart valve, my arthritis, my glaucoma, my high blood pressure and other aches and pains seem like a walk in the park. Hubby has had his share of problems too, including a torn retina which he will see the doc about tomorrow. Hubby has always told me that I was depreciating faster than what he thought the warranty was good for.... too bad we can't take body wear and tear as a tax deduction.

Our midwestern prayers are with you. Enjoy each day in your new surroundings. There is nothing better than sharing the sunshine with someone you love!

Terry, I don't know whether to laugh or cry. Assuring visitation rights to a trailer has a vein of humor if you think about it.
On the other hand, it's like going to see an unfairly incarcerated old friend.

At least its temporary.

Or, like getting a day pass from prison to visit a sick relative...
With any luck it is temporary, although it will be this fall before I am able to go camping again, at least like I mean it.

Very true, I have to keep reminding myself it could eassily have gone the other way at several points. I got to ride in my truck (as a passenger) yesterday for the first time since early January.
So, when are you going to join Eric and me in the 6K club? It's kind of quiet up here...

It may be awhile. Birdy is a little "high maintenance" and needs a lot of my attention & free time right now...and then there is that little four-letter-word called w-o-r-k!

Shari

Shari,

I thank my lucky stars every day that he is alive. All the other "little" things can be dealt with.

We will go camping again, and it won't be that long.

Yesterday a friend came over with several of his employees, and they moved some equipment from our magic garage to his shop for storage. The riding mowers, chain saw, work bench, and the scooters, including my ill-fated one, all went to his place.
One of his employees was directed to drive my truck over to the shop after it was loaded. I told him I should explain to him how it worked, and he responded with an overconfident "You don't need to do that, I can drive anything!"
He jumped in the truck, looked at the bewildering array of buttons switches, gauges, and dials, and uttered a plaintive "Which one makes it go???"
Okay, Pal, I won't say I told you so... After a few minutes' instruction, he was ready to go.
Now the garage has some room in it for items for the upcoming moving sale.
I spent most of the day up and around, with no time down and feet propped up. The price of that was a severely swollen leg, although not as bad as it was after the accident.
M-day is targeted for June1, with all stuff not going to storage slated for a garage sale on May 19th.
Anybody want any "stuff?"

Sorry Terry, I've got too much stuff as it is.
George Carlin and "a place for my stuff" comes to mind.
