Yeah but he needs his crash helmet instead of the cowboy hat. That helmet saved his noggin.

Glad you're back home Terry.

Good to hear you're home again, Terry. It's near impossible to get truly effective restful sleep in a hospital. The beds and pillows are crunchy, the hallways noisy, and they come in and flip that overhead sunlamp on during the most ungodly hours just after you get somewhat comfortable.

Now, here's to your health and let's go fight some bugs!

Hi all,
Not much to add, Terry is getting IV's at home, I start them before I go to work at 12 noon and the home health nurse comes in around 1:15 and disconnects it. When I get home at midnight I run another dose, takes an hour, and it's done.
He seems to be feeling better, and glad to be home. Me too, Cookie too.

Well, as you can see by the time it's late so I'm going to transform from nurse to sleeper.
Good night and God Bless all of you.

Marie

Hi All,

Well all seems to be going well. I took Terry to Naples to see a friend of ours for about an hour today, and he seemed to enjoy it, but sure was hurting by the time we got back.

Our son came down from Holliday to help repair Moose, and the batteries were completely dead. The battery charger is on the second one, and if this doesn't work, I'm off to buy 2 batteries for him.

Just wanted to let everyone know Terry is making improvement and we go back to Tampa Wed for a very early Dr appointment Thur am. (8am).

Our best to all of you,
Marie

Good Sunday to all,

Moose is repaired!!!!!

He had 2 really dead batteries, but they have been recharged and I swear on a stack of airstream service manuals I will drive it at least twice a week.

Terry is doing great. I had to change the dressing on his pick sight and he looked at me and said, "Have you ever done this before?" Nope never have, give me your arm so I can learn. Then I told him the truth, only about 4000 times.

Well, not much to report, but wanted to let everyone know he is doing wonderfull. He still does his excersises faithfully and is tolerating the antibiotic very well.

Thanks, but my brother looks more like him than I do...his nickname is "Duke".
I'm back to walking the dog in the afternoon when Marie is at work, and I'll probably start making the trek out to the mailbox starting Monday or Tuesday. I have been told it will be at least another 6 weeks before I can even begin putting weight on my right foot, and I'm still having trouble spending all night lying in bed because of my broken back. But it is better than the alternative.

Come to think of it, I did die as a result of a surgery a few years ago, but I'm better now. (That's another story for another thread--someday)
