Big surprise
There seems to be a problem with the other guy's insurance. Like, he doesn't have any.... As well as no property.
I'll post more as I find out.

Rog,
I'm keeping him and not trading him in regardless of the blue book value.
All things happen for a reason, we don't know why, but this will pass also. like I told Terry this morning, We have each other, and that's what's most important.

A very lucky man. Who could ask for anything more than that? Major events like this have you examine what is important in life. Looks like you already knew. Good luck.

I've got a copy of Kelly around somewhere if she needs a little help. What year model did you say you were? Oh... and will AAA pick up the tab for the ambulance? It's almost like a tow truck...

My method of replacement, supported by several motor pools, has been if the vehicle has more than 100,000 miles on it, and the repair cost is more than 25% of the depreciated value of the vehicle, it gets retired.
Hopefuly, my depreciated value is still enough to offset the $100,000 in bills I expect to start rolling in any time...

Certainly the replacement of the rearend and transaxle overhaul would figure into the new appraised value. Through in some new tires and a freash coat of paint and you might find out it's a keeper.
Plus - you have to figure in the payments on a newer model.

One of the advantages of living so far South, the bad weather went several hundred miles North of us. Near where Pick (moderator from High Springs) lives. As I write this, the adjuster from the "other guy" is here to figure out how to pay for the loss of the scooter, without taking away any more for the medical bills.

The adjuster just left. I will try to post more as I learn more. For all my posting here, I am still easily confused, so it takes a little time to get everything where I can understand it.

Hi,
I don't care about the cost of repair, blue book value or other costs for repairs. I'm still keeping Terry.
He's doing so good, and trying hard with the therapy etc. He's a keeper.

Does this mean Terry is going to have a "Salvage Title"? That could cost you some money on a trade in....

Hi Marie!
nice to hear that Terry is on the mend. My wife calls herself the present Mrs Harris and asks me when I might trade her in! Lol! But a thing of beauty is a joy forever and a great partner will keep you happy not matter what!
Tell the old man you haven't finished with him yet! You need more mileage as a return on your investment!
Good Luck!

Good morning all,
Sorry I've not been posting much the past few days, but I'm back to work and things are rough there. Anyone need an LPN with Medical records, Sorry, off track.
Took Terry to Dr. Dipasquale in Tampa yesterday for follow up care, and the sutures were removed. Terry says there were 312 sutures, but he's exagerating, there were only 311.
He tolerated the trip fairly well, but the 4 hour wait in the doctors office was very rough. Wayyyyyyyy over booked and he was late by 2 hours because he was doing an emergency procedure.
Thanks again for your prayers, thoughts and help. Airstreamers rock!
Marie
