You can also order the video online in the History Channel's store for $24.95...

Gotta luv it!

I really enjoyed that, even the non-AS. I can't wait to go to a TCT rally now and check out some of the other old vintage trailers. I have to say, those Shasta types are everywhere around here, rotting away in the fields.

Hey, and how'd you like that vintage septic system (a bucket) Kind of makes not having a grey tank seem trivial - at least I don't have to empty a bucket

I LOVED it!

Also the tiny little bathroom/shower with the swing away sink & toilet...VERY cool!

That swing away sink and stuff in the Hunt House car was too cool! That's Craig Dorsey doing the restoration work, he's the Norm Abrams of vintage trailers.

Great show! Loved the chance to see some really neat classic trailers that I would not normally get to see. I thought A/S got some great press, but I kinda wished there was a little more about some of the other aluminum brands like Streamline, there are so many great old trailers out there. I want one of everything :-)

If they made it a regular series, profiling a different brand every week, I'd tune in. I thought this sampling was pretty fun.

BTW, the Marathon MH they showed are built in a plant in Oregon along I5 - you could see the freeway zipping by in the background. We drive by it everytime we head towards southern Oregon. We always look at them parked at the plant on our way by and wonder who buys them and what they are like inside. It was pretty jaw dropping to see what's in there. How'd y'all like the automatic stinky-slinky (oh my god, it's coming after me!) - oh wait, I forgot, their slinkys don't stink

Really cooool...

that 60 minutes went by so fast I had to order the video. Wish it was available on DVD but can't have everything. The restorer on the show was Craig Dorsey of Vintage Vacations. Take a look at his website, if you haven't already, for some real treats. vintage-vacations.com

Emjoy.

Cool Marathon Coaches

Those million dollar plus coaches, that they showed towards the end of the program were something else.

Marathon Coaches

They're just outside my price range.

I saw the show and taped it. It was great! Although it did seem like an infomercial for Craig Dorsey's Vintage Vacations.

They did a good job with the Airstream portion and the other brands were interesting as well.

conversions

NDS,

I thought it was nice that they included Marathon conversion on what seemed to be an airstream history show. Airstream, being a pioneer and top draw of travel trailers, it seemed fitting to include the Marathon Brand of Prevost. They have been around along time, and are considered top drawer of conversions.
Both companies at one time or another were and are owned by a single visionary.( Wally Byam, and Steve Schoellhorn)
