What is your dream job?

Flamingo Kid started a great thread on what everyone does for work but for many of us, our current profession is not our dream job. So, for those of you currently not working in your dream job, what is your dream job?

To drive a Zamboni for a hockey rink. When I am do that, I will know that I can afford to do anything I want. I also think it would be pretty cool if I could hook up the Airstream to it and take to a rally

Exclamation Dream job

My dream job would be to travel the country in my Airstream, searching for old Cadillac's to restore/collect. Of course I would have unlimited funding.....

i want to drive the water truck!

the kind they use on construction sites to keep the dust down. after 18 some odd years as a lineman at the power company, i have found there is too much stuff to keep track of on my bucket truck. hundreds of different connectors, tools, hoists, wire grips, hot line tools, rubber blankets and hoses etc. etc.

too much stuff! not to mention the truck itself, hydraulic system, air system, keeping the booms waxed so they are electically sound.

that's why i want the water truck! my day would go like this: Q what ya doing?
A keeping the dust down... Q what ya gonna do next? A gettin more water....

nice and simple.

john

I like the idea of traveling the country in the Airstream working at National Parks. Saw an article in one of my periodicals, either Airstream Life or Trailer Life, that had some couples that have done the same and loved it.

Run a small town gas station. Not a convenience store, just a gas station with service bays. The service bays are for me to play with my cars and cycles. I'll have a spot on the bench out front and free Cokes for all Forum Members.

Teaching in a non-tenure track position on a 8-9 month contract at a university or community college on the Gulf Coast in Florida, so I could escape most of the summer heat on one of the Great Lakes. Semi-snowbirding.

I would love to travel the country (in an Airstream of course) and
produce a "No Opportunity Wasted" program for underprivledged teens. If you haven't seen it the N.O.W. program is on Fit TV or Discovery HD. They give you a $3,000 charge card to attempt your dream within 72 hours. There have been some really fun episodes...some are enormous dreams and others are somewhat silly, but all are inspirational.

Or else I would like to be a 2nd grade gym teacher. No wait, maybe a hangliding instructor in Santa Barbara...actually my favorite real job was Full Time Dad

Something to do with cars. Maybe just buying and selling really nice classic cars. I'd have a whole lot full of them and drive a nice one for a while, then sell it and grab another one when I got bored. I'm getting kind of tired of working on them, else I'd say restoring old cars. I took my Miata racing this weekend, and that was pretty fun. Maybe now I should say Race Car Driver!
