It's a entry step extension most definitely. We acquired one for the Globetrotter at the Missouri International. I think from about 1966 to early 1970s' it will fit, and very handy when the high side of the trailer is doorside.

It looks like a second step. The ends are hinged, and fold up, sliding into matching square holes in the upper step.
Meddle not in the affairs of dragons, for you are crunchy, and taste good with ketchup.

Of course everyone that said it was a second step is Correct!
