We use Nationwide, they just asked how much we wanted to insure it for and requested pictures. Much easier than I thought it would be.

Same here, Nationwide asked how much do you want to insure for ?? $9K No problem.
Had one claim for a break in.
Sent them an estimate from AS dealer and told them I would do the work myself. They sent me a check for parts and included the $200 labor estimate. Did not question $580 for the door latch.

Mine is $74.40 yr
$50 deduct on comp
$250 deduct on colision
$3000 on personal effects

Also says actual cash value on this bill but the policy says $9,000
Think I'l call just to sure nothing has changed.

I have had good luck with Nationwide in the past. Was buying an older(1920's) house that had been updated, our current insurance company was giving the runaround less than a week before we were scheduled to close, called Nationwide, they sent an adjuster out, we filled out a questionare, he took a bunch of picutures, asked how much we wanted it insured for. About 2 days later a different adujuster called and asked if they could raise the total value, they felt we had underestimated the replacement cost. MY kind of company

Ours is $62/yr and we're insured for $7000, same deductible, etc. as Garry's. Haven't had to use it yet but sounds like everything goes smoothly with them.

who, me bitter?

Based on my recent experience (see accident thread) I do not recommend Prudential. Perhaps when I saddle up again I'll look at Nationwide. Thanks for the tip.
