Portable Apartment

Hi this my first post. Well Ive had my 19 foot Bambi for a month now. No problems as of yet. I really don't forsee any as well. I use my as a portable apartment. I live 90 miles from were I work and the hours are long but I work only four days a week. I work second shift and I have to be alert and congnitive the entire shift because I watch data networks for banks, retail and government. Also, I didnt want to drive my cars into the ground putting a thousand miles a month on my cars. I also didn't want to move locally to work since its a year contract. So I decided to buy a camper. Unfortunately (for my wallet) or fortunately (for a great camper) there was an airstream dealer up the street. Mr Vern sold me on the 19' CCD Bambi. I thought the price was astronomical but I didn't know airstreams were the best in the industry.

I thought the people at work would think I was nuts, but so far they have been great, and totally understand. One day the property manager (who leases the building to my company I work for) showed up one morning looking very unhappy. "What are you doing here" he asked. "Oh, Oh" I thought to myself. "You can't live here" He explained. I explained to him the method of my madness. "I'll just pretend I never noticed you were here", "And you have pick a good spot out of the way", he noted. Then I showed him the things I liked about the airstream.

So I have saved gas money, wear and tear on my car, and the most important part is wear and tear on me. And now I have discovered the world of Airstreamer, which was a great bonus.

Welcome to the forums. More and more folks are using TTs as temporary work-week housing - welcome to the club.

Tailgaiting!
I used to take mine to the stadium the night before a game (not alowed anymore) and get a good spot close to the entrance and B.B.Q., drink beer wait for friends to go by and watch all the people go in to see the game. I would remain outside and listen to the game on the radio and again wait for all the people to come out and party with friends .
