Peter will you be posting progress or pics of this project on a separate thread?

Thanks

Sure, I will put a link on this thread when I get going on, but it may be a while. I already replaced some of the panels on the trailer in the background, but did not document it.

Just be aware that 1 sheet will do all three windows on a trailer up 1996, when the wide body was introduced. Beyond that the width of the center window (52"x25 3/4") requires 2 sheets with lots of left over.

Whilst we sit around and wait for the tutorial, we can marvel at this little solution, to get your 110v AC indicator light back on your instrument panel, after replacing on older Converter with a new multi stage converter. The adapter can just plug into the same outlet as the converter with 9V wire running to the original fuse.

Robert, how did you wire the panels together? I also have two different suitcase kits from Renogy as well as a Victron controller but haven’t wired them together yet.

Peter,

What material did you use for the blue trim strip in your lower rub rail? It looks nice. (I still have the original on my 2013 trailer, and it looks nasty)

I charge thru the 7-pin umbilical. I wired the female plug, pin #4 charge wire and pin #1 ground to the the positive and negative on a SAE connector. That plugs into a 14 awg two into one SAE splitter with a reverse polarity SAE plug to adapt the the ZAMP protocol.
Each Zamp panel has its own controller, 10a for the 120w panel and 15a for the 180w...they play well together.
I was advised that they may not, but I gave it a shot and it it seems to work very well. I do have the 120w for sale and plan to match with two 180w.
I was able to get 47ah in 5.5 hrs in full sun.

Some folks like stupidly complicated, I prefer stupidly simple.🤓

Hope this helps...👍

The Maxim skylight that I ordered three weeks ago came today. I am looking forward to installing it but it looks like it will be several weeks before I get around to doing it. I am looking forward to be able to see the sky and have the light.

Very mundane, but important... replacement CO and smoke detectors (reminder they do need to be replaced every few years.) CO detector was an unhappy “chirper” last weekend on our shakedown trip to Capitol Reef (and ‘no’ it was not CO.)

I went to Camping World because I won a $50 gift card and it was "Easter sale." Wow, even with sale, prices seem high. Picked up necessities...toilet drop ins, water filter, flamingos, food covers, and a couple of those cafeteria trays.

Yes. The brand is Perch, a magnetic modular system. Bought them about three years ago from The Container Store. It’s also available at Bed, Bath and Beyond.[emoji4]Love the system. The panels have never fallen off (command strips) and the magnetic bins stay put too during travels. Living in California, it’s definitely a test of endurance with our bad highways.[emoji35]

Not exciting but I had a propane leak on my one of my tank hoses to the regulator. The trailer is 2 years old so I was a little surprised. Only cost $10 to fix so no biggie ... leak checked and all is well ... while I had the bottle off I did a little Corrosion X treatment on the mount

After reading this article, I decided $16 was pretty cheap insurance. Purchased the Fire Blanket in the Amazon link.

Those are a great Idea for a trailer. If you've ever seen a fire extinguisher go off, you know where that powder goes!

I just bought 2 on Amazon and will put one in the front by the kitchen and one in the rear of the ship.

Thanks very much for the idea!
