Technically this is not specific to my TT , however since purchasing it I’ve been itching to take my Greenspeed Trike with me. While the roads are calling out to explore, the hills are mocking any effort I might have of climbing them with my wide chops and hearty bike. So my gift to self was to have it electrified this past week. Holy succotash this thing moves out and has put the grin back into both cheeks! If you have a bike or variant and find that you’re not enjoying it as much as you once did, maybe think about adding some kick power to it and adding electric.

On the last trip out I noticed the brakes weren't doing a very good job on stopping so it was time for an inspection and wheel bearing grease/seal job.

I discovered the armature facing on all the drums were deeply gouged and beyond resurfacing. The magnets were also toasted with deep gouges.
Time for new brakes and drums - ouch!!

New self adjusting (4) brakes. I am curious how these will do as I have always used manual adjusting brakes I in the past.

New (4) drums. I took out the crummy Chinese bearing races and swapped over the Timken bearing races from the old drums.

Now for the not so fun part - I need to take this thing for a tow and get the brakes shoes burnished in.

I did the brake burnishing on my car after having them replaced from tips here on the forums. I swear I have never had better brakes.

Took the trailer out Sunday morning before church to burnish the brakes in - it now stops respectively well for drum brakes.

A very nice, well written and photographed paperback book on restoring Vintage Airstreams.

Written by Daniel Hall who works at Camper ReParadise in Salt Lake City. Features images from three different airstream's they have worked on.

Purchased at a book retailer but it looks like Amazon and VTS also sells it.Click image for larger version

Upgraded to a 32" Samsung Smart Tv in living area. Now can easily stream movies and show.
Also installed some window poppers, wish I had done that long ago.

Do you install 2 window poppers per window or is 1 centered enough?

On my smaller windows, just one, centered. On the larger front Panoramic window operable center pane, two work better on that wide window...

Be sure to keep the seals well treated with 303 protectant and the glass very clean so they don't stick any more than they have to...

An old credit card is a good tool for freeing up a stuck seal from the glass. Since tempered glass is very touchy about damage to the edges, DO NOT use metal tools to get them open-they will shatter instantly if the edge is nicked...

Good looking roof there Bob. Now, that is a statement I would have never thought about until I got an Airstream. Amazing the things I appreciate now.

Window poppers are excellent. After six months in winter storage, every window opened without the need of added assistance besides the popper. I installed only one per window; large and small alike. Easy to install. Function just fine. Should be a factory standard.

Got a New 15K Penguin II heatpump to swap out my 13.5 on my 23D. It’s really hot in the South.
