Speaking of ZipDee, I attended a presentation by a ZipDee representative at the International Rally in Escanaba, Michigan this summer and learned that the sliding rails/posts (I don't recall the official name) that hold up ZipDee awnings - both manual and power - need to be lubricated occasionally with silicone spray. My manual awning is MUCH easier to operate now after spraying the rails/posts.
It is important not to use an oil spray, such as W-D 40, although I would imagine that that brand of silicone spray would be fine.

A roll of Phifer no-see-ums 20 x 20 mesh insect screen 36" x 25' and a roll of .125 x100' spline. Both were enough to replace the screens of all windows and the door of our 27fb International. After spending last winter in Florida we realised that the factory installed screen where no match for the no-see-ums. We are leaving soon to spend our second winter as snowbird and will see if these make a difference. We used both the metal and plastic screen roller and much prefered the plastic one.

Privacy magnets

Since a vacation just isn’t a vacation if I have to wear pants... I came up with a way to close the gaps on the sides of the window shades. Stainless steel magnets from amazon and little metal brackets from Home Depot. I used the existing window screen frame screws and put the bracket behind the frame. One magnet is mounted behind the window screen on the bracket and a second magnet holds the shades.

This ottoman weighs about 1 pound (it is solid syrafoam with a thin layer of foam on top) . Don't know if I like it yet but will give it a try.

Got a mega pack of 15 amp fuses! We're having a crisis with our water heater switches creating a direct short and blowing out the 15 amp fuse. Talk about going from a tenor to a soprano!

I suggest getting the problem itself fixed before having a fire from a short. Changing the fuse is not fixing the short and could cause more problems if the issue is in the trailer wiring instead of the water heater circuitry.

That's right. Get to the source of the problem and fix whatever's causing the short.

Yep, we found the same on the A/C side of our power center. If a circuit-breaker is popping more frequently than it should, shut off all power, open up that cover, look inside, inspect every connection to be they are all are tight, and ensure that no evil gremlins are trying to let the smoke out.

Mounted a hitch receiver on the business end of the Suburban ... have to park the Airstream in a tight spot ... I’m told this will make it easier...

Business in the front, party in the back! I'm sure that will make it easier to maneuver in tight places.

And you can use it for a bike rack too. Good idea!

Not sure this counts, just got a Mavic Pro drone from Costco, a great deal.

Will be using it to take cool pics and videos of the AS on the road.

Wife won’t let me open until. Christmas! [emoji35][emoji24]

Yes, thanks. Absolutely. I had to do a process of elimination to determine the source of the direct short. Therefore I had to have plenty of extra fuses to find the culprit. It's definitely the water heater. So now more diagnosing until we can ever use the water heater again.[emoji28]

Our first trip out, the water heater was blowing DC fuses every time I pushed the gas or the electric switch to the water heater.
Found out that the circuit board in the water heater was shorting the AC into the DC.
If I flipped the AC breaker to the heater off, no fuses blew and we could heat with gas.
Also if I disconnected the AC power cord to the trailer then the DC fuse would not blow.

I was touring a client around the Park City area and we stopped at an overlook of the Jordanelle Reservoir. There was a guy taking some video with a drone, and I admittedly have never actually seen how they work, up close. Coolest thing ever. It was so high up I could barely see it. He pushed a button and it flew directly overhead and then landed exactly where it took off from. I was fascinated. Really tempted to get one at some point.
