I wired a 12 V in the storage area to run my cooler. The battery (new) lasted about 6 hours. The battery was a Interstate deep discharge. The trailer was on shore power.
I was able to recharge the battery.
I purchased the Viair compressor that runs DIRECTLY from the battery.

It is! I haven't measured the draw from the compressor, but it's not a monster. I just needed enough PSI to blow out the water when I winterize on the road.

The very expensive, very heavy vault hitch lock. Makes me nervous there is no way to get it of!

from the 20-' thread
BTW, I didn't mention it in the thread but Sunday night after all but 3 couples had left it started to drop in temp at dinner time so we fit 4 at the dinette, one one on the edge of the bed and one sitting in the isle on this from LLBean.

https://www.llbean.com/llb/shop/63565?moe=ordhistory

Table for 6 in a 20!!!

My wife found this last Christmas thinking it may work for something different when watching TV or others joining us when eating in the trailer.

I found it to be very stable and comfortable

We have a Viair 450P compressor system and the label plate says it can draw up to 23 amps at 13.8 Vdc. We installed a two pole twist-lok outlet in the 23D refrigerator space just inside the access door and wired directly to the new 12Vdc bus in the trailer with a 30 amp fuse. We put the mating plug on a pigtail so we can switch the unit from the plug to the battery clamps. We have had no issues.

The wiring needs to be #10 for current draws exceeding 20 amps.

Yesterday I finished the front mounted 50 amp plug in and transfer switch with all cabling to operate my 7000 watt Honda generator which will completely run my 30' classic with power to spare.

In the above post I forgot to mention that I added a wireless remote start to the Honda EU7000IS watt gen set that is located on a bed slide in my TV. The gen set can be started from inside me AS

Wilbur,

I've always thought something like that would be great for the short overnight at a truck stop or rest area. Could charge the batteries, watch a little television, then shut down without having to get out of bed.

Enjoy,

Roy and Marie

How about a photo of your bed slide. I'm going to need one

You'll love 'em. We are on our 5th year with our Kermits and still love 'em. I'm thinking about ordering one of their new wide version.

New batteries!

Checking the AS batteries this morning, different amounts of water used by each cell... one nearly to the plates...

Both Marine Deep Cycle
Battery #1 - from 2012
Battery #2 - from 2013

Battery #1 was OK in 2013 when the original CONVERTER went up in smoke.. literally. There was no Battery #2 at the time.

Replaced converter, added Battery #2 in 2013.

So, replaced both batteries.. exact same manufacture date and other specs. $75 each...
