A new tow vehicle. Traded our "beloved Ford Explorer" for a new Ford Lariat comparably equipped interior trim to that of the Explorer. Can't wait to head off to the Oregon coast in 3 weeks.

I'm considering buying a dolly. One of the manufacturers that I've looked at suggests mounting the "dolly hitch" aft of the trailer hitch, closer to the body of the trailer. Moving the attachment point aft increases the "tongue weight" on the dolly which increases traction.

Dolly on hitch?

That was our first thought.

Actually not due to the single row of dolly
wheels. Requires support by down tube mating to the 2" solid dolly male post. Keeps 360 support, tight and upright on forward, back and 3 point turns with minimal dolly rocking.

Can easily do a 180 degree 3 point turn with our 2005 25ft Intl SS CCD 5300 dry/6300 wet dual axle trailer with ease. Bing-Bam-Boom its tucked away.

Without it under hitch receiver the single axle doily design would rock like a unicycle and loose control.
(Other models with 2 sets of axles may operate under hitch).

My husband drives a company car. This time it is the Lariat. Very nice truck, lots of nice features. Do you have Back Up Assist? Interesting concept.

Received and installed cabinet hinge lock clips throughout AS. Not declaring victory for a while but I'm hopeful of no more accidental hinge separations.

I have it on my truck and would like to use it. However, I can't get my truck to see the control sticker. Part of the issue is the length added by my Propride hitch. I saw a post that CanAM RV got one working, but I've not had success.

Yes it does. I've been reading and re-reading the Owners Manual to make sure that I've dotted all the "I's" and crossed the "t's". I've tried it twice so far without the manual .....tonight as I write this I've got it in my lap. Got the hitch adjusted to the proper trailer height tonight a quick test drive down our mountain road to the main road and back. Perfect!

That's the "sticky issue" for me with this so far. I've got everything done but I tried to do it "intuitively" without success twice. The "sticker" they keep referring to is something I can't get around....so I'm finally taking the time to re-read the manual. The manual keeps referring to "the supplied sticker"....so far I've not found the supply! Or, where I'm supposed to look for them as they were not in the User Manual/Warranty packet.

We got a Olympic Rivet Shaver that was recently list here in the classifieds. And as you can see we are definitely in need of one.

The stickers are inside the Pro Trailer Backup Assist Quick Start Guide. It's a pretty skinny little book. Should be in the package with the owners manual...

Stickers look like 2 rows of a checker board in black/white. Format is 4x2 squares. About 2 inches wide and 5-6 long.

Oops, I got a new table that fits between the bed and the cupboard. 9 1/2 inches fit perfectly in our 22' Sport.

I finally found mine this morning. For some reason it was separated from the Owners Package and found it under some other documents in the glove box.

I also found several YouTube Video's showing how to set this up. It's really quite easy but to get it working properly proper placement of the "sticker" is critical.

We use that area to store folding TV-tables for eating while sitting on the lounge (since we permanently converted our 2008 22' Sport forward-dinette to a queen bed.)

But I like your use of that space as well. Caution, however, is advised when moving objects like that table (or ours) in/out of that area. I've found that it's possible to inadvertently hit the battery-USE/STORE switch to the OFF position by accident when hitting it with the table-legs. This will remove your battery from it's charge/maintaining circuit.

Thanks for the heads up.

Added a 12v socket to the trunk so I can run my air compressor w/o having to use the truck. Wired to the light.

Is the wire gauge back there adequate to handle the start up load of the compressor? I guess if the fuse does not blow you are OK!
