A precision industries split beam torque wrench. They make them for Snap On, come with a calibration certificate, and do not need to be returned to a 0 setting after use.

What did you get for your Trailer today?
Magma nesting cookware set.
We have been looking at this for a while but I wouldn't buy pots and pans without feeling the weight of them first. We found a set at Camping World and they were a lot nicer than anticipated so we bought them. We didn't get them from Camping World as their price was $300 and Amazon was $250, I asked if they would price match or get close (would have paid $270 since they had them there and I got to feel them there), but was told they only price match with campingworld.com. So Amazon will deliver on Wed.
Thx......Ark

Cover for new Yamaha generator arrived today. Also the extension cable for the camera arrived. Finally the camera mounted on the back of the trailer. Going to be nice to see what is tailgating me.

A little George Foreman grill. I have my eye on the Weber Q something, but not yet.

You could run the refrigerator with that arrangement, but not the a/c.

I assume this is the device in question? http://camco.wpengine.com/product/po...ximizer-10768/
Looks interesting. Camco says little except that you can draw up to 45 amps and that it won't work with GFI outlets. Maybe it would run 1 AC but not 2? Not sure how that's better than 30 amps, but I'm probably missing something.

No, it won't even run 1 a/c unit-
At least not for very long-
The a/c unit requires 30 amps.
An ordinary wall socket is 15 or 20 amps.
Too much heat builds up and the receptacle melts and shorts or the breaker trips.
The purpose of this adapter is to keep the refrigerator on if you want to/need to.

Ordered a set of 200-221 Centramatics for Rocinante. They'll be here in a couple of weeks and we'll mount them later, when baby gets her new shoes.

We picked up some plywood to lengthen the bed frame just a bit so we can mount a foot block and keep the mattress from working away from the wall at the head. Since the wall is curved, we will see if we can add a filler between the mattress and the wall as well. Changing to a rectangular shapped mattress has it's problems, but not too big of a deal. Little steps....we'll get there. Pat

It's pulling 30 amps from one circuit and 15/20 from the other. It runs both A/C units. Can't use the microwave with both A/C units running though.

Slowly making progress on the '68 Overlander. Installed the new axles last week. Many thanks to Shacksman for his advice and guidance and to Colin Hyde for spec'ing and ordering the replacement axles. Every old bolt came out without a fight (used electric impact wrench), the old axles dropped down without using a sledge hammer and the new axles lined up perfectly, every hole right where it should be. No job ever goes that well. Four hours total, including dropping the old axles at the recycler. Yesterday we brought the new wheels and Michelins together and mounted them on the trailer...

In many of the RV park pedestals, there are three outlets:
50 amp which is wired as 240 Vac with two 120Vac legs we can call A & B
30 amp which has one single 120Vac leg attached to A
20 Amp which has one single 120Vac leg attached to B
So in theory, the 30 and 20 are wired so that the trailer with a 50 amp power inlet could see 30 amps on one leg and 20 amps on the other. After buying this specific adapter, the owner needs to then determine in his power panel which leg is getting 30 amps and which is getting 20 amps. There may be a need to move circuit breakers to get the appropriate power load on the proper leg.

Got ourselves a Weber Q1200 for our journeys. Just need to make sure we have the correct quick connect to run off our trailer, and order myself a griddle insert.
We have a small charcoal kettle that I think we'll continue to bring , but we wanted something that can heat up quickly & conveniently when we're in a rush or only grilling a couple of dogs for lunch. The Q will also replace us from bringing our Coleman stove - I want to keep indoor cooking to a minimum for cleaning & heating reasons, so having a griddle insert seemed perfect for us.

I may start a new thread on this - but all the stuff I've seen on line about how to convert the Weber Q series for the RV port appears to be mistaken. Apparently, the pipe you need to connect your QD fitting to is a proprietary thread. Parts at big box stores, RV stores and even propane companies don't fit. They seem like they should but you can't get more than a half turn before the threads want to cross. That's apparently Weber's way of protecting us from ourselves. I've got phone and email messages in to them and am awaiting either a proprietary part they can sell to complete the connection or I'll purchase a different grill.
Pic here shows the plumbing. You need to remove the regulator since the LP port is already low pressure, and when you do that, the pipe fitting (to which you'd connect your quick disconnect fitting) is threaded with a proprietary cut.
