Well, I devised a ramp so I can slide my generator out onto the ground and winch it back up into the truck bed by myself when boondocking. Photos may come in about a week....when I do my first field trial.....works well at home.

Tommie... what generator are you using? They certainly can be quite HEAVY! Especially for a woman to handle.

I have a 4000 watt, electric start Powermaster, from Northern Tool....weighs over 100 lbs. but easily manageable sliding up and down my ramp. The winch is also from Northern, powered by a cordless drill.

I got a new ball for my hitch. 2" and a lock for my hitch. Get more hitch pins today. Have two want more for replacement. Never know when you might need them.

Last weekend I was attending the WBCCI Region 5 Rally in Goshen, IN and I picked up a Tire Traker TPMS system from a vendor.

Tire Traker recommended that I purchase the booster for the system due to the interference from the aluminum shell but I decided to try the system without the booster for awhile. I drove home 5+ hours and it seemed to work great without the booster.
This TPMS system has been on my wish list for quite some time so yeah it was an impulse buy

My Mercedes ML320 CDI diesel tow vehicle storage space is limited by both volume and weight when towing the 23D. Since there will be just the two of us, we did not need the large Weber grill we have for the Classic.

So I am expecting the stainless steel Solaire Everywhere grill to arrive today along with their propane adapter hose, stand and carrying bag. I plan to use an existing five pound propane tank. It weighs about 15 pounds and is compact with an overall size 21"W x 9"H x 13"D (including carrying handles).

I'm using one of those since 2013. I've been pleased so far. One of the sensors failed the first 3 months and they replaced it quickly after I mailed it back to them. Its been fine ever since. I remove them when the AS is in storage between trips and remove the batteries in the sensors.

The vendor told me that when you turn off the monitor everything goes to sleep and does not use battery power. I do plan on taking the sensors off when I winterize the trailer in November.

Switz, I found that the Solaire works best with the small disposable tanks, followed by a 5 pounder and ok with the Rasmussen hose for the propane quick connect on the AS. Let me know how yours works out. It's a phenomenal grill, it gets hot fast and stays that way. On My 5# w /hose used to make the regulator "sing". I talked with them about the quick connect and their regulator for that application and I bored the orifice 1 size larger and have had solid results.
Even with the issues I would want no other grill! ENJOY

This is a DIY project I did for our Airstream and my daugthers. I purchased a thin piece of hobby sheet metal from Home Depot, 1 can primer and 1 can of Krylon Chalkboard Paint in black.

I sandwiched the piece of metal over top the existing door cover and now we have a magnetic door and chalkboard.

I plan on doing this to the top portion, but with dry erase paint for the adults.

I can't top pictures of kids (obviously, the one above in BoldAd's post above must be called "TC" -- for "Too Cute!") but I have to report that a trip to Airstream of Spokane to get a new sail switch for our Suburban furnace turned into a new Suburban furnace. The folks at Airstream of Spokane would have fixed the 39 year-old Suburban furnace if we'd really wanted, but it seemed like with the rusty plenum, the frayed wires, and the potential for more age-related failures in the future, the smarter decision was a new Suburban furnace... (but still pulled by the old Suburban).

After a quiet (quieter fan) and warm night at the Kahnderosa RV park at Cataldo Mission along I-90 in Idaho we know we did the right thing. I'd post pictures but the new furnace is hidden away just like the old one... quietly maintaining the Airstream standards! (And warm air doesn't photograph that much different than cool!)

That's an awesome project - what I like best is that it looks like original Airstream design. It doesn't look like a DIY job.

Your post inspired me to get off my duff and complete my own magnetic board, which I have wanted for some time because there are next to no magnetic surfaces in the Interstate (and I'm guessing the same is probably true of trailers). A before-and-after shot below, with instructions and sourcing in the blog post, including two caveats for would-be magnet fans.
