How do you like the AS maintenance book? Haven't seen that one before. Is it written for new or vintage?

Steve, it is rather generic but is up to date on most systems discussed. Its focus is on easy do it yourself repairs and daily upkeep with an emphasis on preventive maintenance. I think it could be improved by using actual photos and more detailed drawings in most cases. I am a visual learning person and would give it four stars based on that alone. It is a worthy addition to every Airstream owners toolbox.

I also received my book. Very interesting and I agree, could have used pictures and drawings. I liked the lay-out and coiled binding, lays flat for easy reading. My complaint was the font and glossy pages. Difficult to read for an "old f" even with my glasses on.
What's new? tires and wheels (Mich and Sendels) for TT, Coopers on truck ( because of size and availability), batteries, mattresses (converted to twin), day/nite shade for rear window and caulk and Captain Tully for leaking Fantastic fan.
Application for WBCCI Cajun Caravan: FULL til 2018 so on stand by.

Got the book via Amazon last week before we took off. Been learning a bunch of things I thought I knew. Like: Water Pressure Regulator is built in already. Must have 4 of them in the tool box. Chunk em.

Well, not too fast.... although there is a 'built in' regulator, that doesn't protect your supply hose. Attach the 'regulator' to the hose bib when you 'suspect' a pressure issue.. or 'gift' it to your neighbor who has an SOB... they might appreciate it..

Also, some RV parks require a brass water pressure regulator.

Completed two projects today. Received my Jack back from Baker. I had sent it in for annoying noises when operating. All better now. Next replaced the weather striping on my screen door- twice. First tried with 1/2 inch thick, bad move. Too thick. Pulled that off and tried again with 3/8's. Much better. Good seal all the way around and no extra effort required to close the screen door. Thankfully that stuff is not expensive so just marked it down as lesson learned.

AWCHIEF, when installing your jack, did you notice if there was a 30 amp inline fuse connection? My previous jack had one and the new one does not. The web site says to install one " if required". So my dilemma is, is one required? The Jack is not wired directly to the battery.
New Garmin Dash Cam 20 arrived today. More stuff to fiddle with before I blast off. Jim

Thought about doing this as well. What's your signal for knowing when the tank is full?

Inspired by Air forums user "Two To Tow", added bins and rolling shelf baskets from the container store to Rocinante's pantry. We think it will be great!
