3M Automotive Emblem Tape is what holds most auto trim, badges, emblems, etc on vehicles W/O drilling holes. Just clean both surfaces with alcohol and dry before application. Also works well on glass for camera mounts etc. Comes in various widths. Also 3M Plastic and Emblem Adhesive 08061 in a tube works. If you want to attach interior trim such as upholstery, cloth, carpet, floor mats use 3M Fast Tack Trim Adhesive 08031. If you want to attach vinyls use 3M Vinyl Trim Adhesive 08964. These are readily avaible and perform extremely well as advertised.

On the bubble level consider using 3M VHB 4950 tape, same as used for Lewsters solar installs. Couple of small tabs should hold it fine and you can still get it off if needed.

Had one of the levels on the front when I got the trailer but was broken. Managed to find exact replacement so no new holes.

Two days of 110* skin temp was too much for the 3M tape. The tape literally melted and the level was dropping off. Remounted with screws and sealant. It is adjustable if needed.

Chief,
Wouldn't drilling holes in the plexy window protector be less stressful?
1/8" stainless machine bolt, nut & washers.
The 3m VHB double sided might have stucked better there also too.

I have one very similar, I used screws too. I'm not afraid of screws in the Airstream.

The night vision works well. I can see moths flying around in the carport.
It has a mic that pics up the neighbor's a/c condenser and cars driving by on the street.
None of these features will matter when using it as a backup camera, but the good wireless range (advertised 1,000 feet) and clear monitor that picks up everything in good color (or clear black and white night vision) will matter.
The fact that it plays 5 lullabies, has a 2 way intercom with push-to-talk on the parent unit, and has a temperature alert will never come into play while watching the back of the trailer or looking to see if my cat is coming home to eat.

The baby monitor works well, but...
Since I have no way of powering it continuously, I am not going to mount it permanently. The Baby unit (camera) runs on 4 AA batteries with a 4 hour battery life. The Parent unit (monitor) has a built in rechargeable battery and a 10 hour battery life.
Not enough battery life to use it as I travel down the road.
I will just set the baby unit on the bumper while I am backing into a spot.

Opened the cover for the propane tanks to see about adding a security/chain/lock etc...only to be met with a wasp nest and boy were they unhappy that I disturbed them.
The good news is that I somehow didn't get stung...

I finally did it! I got home a few hours ago after a grueling 6 hour negotiation. I bought a loaded 2015 Ford F150 Lariat Ecobeast 3.5 to tow my trailer with!

That's about where I mounted my level with tape and it's been on for a few years now. I don't know why yours didn't hold. One other thing that I did to mine was to take the level adjustment screw out and re-install it up-side-down so I can adjust it from the bottom.

Bob, that looks like a good upgrade. I have several marginal plastic fixtures. Will keep this upgrade in mind.

To make the install easier......
Chief,
I got tired of them breaking one at a time so I replaced them all.
Most difficult was getting the mail & female lined up properly....
I put the female, (bead side), on the jam and the male side on the door.
After attaching the bead side to the jam I put both countersunk wood screws in the door fitting and snapped it into the jam fitting. I then placed a small thin piece of plastic under each screw head to keep them straight in the assembly.(very important)
You now have the latch assembled just as it will be when done & the door is closed.....except you have two sharp points sticking out. Slowly close the door 'til it hits the screw points, push firmly with one hand and thump the door sharply with the heal of your other hand right where the screws are...bingo, two center points right where they need to be.
Marked my drill bit for depth with tape, put a little 3M 5200 on the threads to keep things secured, and screwed away.
Bob
