One of the last pieces for our trailer parking and storage, a nice metal shelter. Hopefully it will keep the trailer dry and the leaves off. This past spring we had a lot of algae and leaves to wash off the trailer. We hope this will prolong the life of our trailer significantly. We also have water, 50 amp power and sewer in there. I'm contemplating putting cable out there. Great spot for in-laws should they decide to visit.

With the gate closed, the whole is barely noticeable from the street once the trees fill in with their leaves.

Today replaced the OEM Wineguard antenna with a new wiz bang King Jack Digital HDTV Antenna replacement head. Sitting in my drive way went from 11 somewhat marginal channels to 18 all very strong channels. The test will be how well it works sitting out in the woods.

Easy replacement? Where did you get it? I see what appears to be it listed on Amazon as a replacement head for the Sensar.

5 minute job, unscrew the coax, pull two pins, remove old ant. Reverse the process with new ant. Hardest part for me was climbing the ladder, they make me a bit nervous.
Got it from Amazon.

Hi, how does this antenna work with the parking bracket on the roof?

Just like the original. It is very compact and takes up little room. Must less than the original. Last night I spent a couple of hours out in the trailer watching original Doctor Who shows on RetroTV. I do not get Retro on my cable.

That very thing has me thinking about ditching satellite and getting a TV antenna for the house. We get better programming for free in the trailer than we get for $83 per month in the house.

Tempting! Look like it might have added a couple inches in height? Does it go above the top of the AC?

Not even close, well below the AC cover.

It looks just a couple of inches higher than the standard Winegard where it "parks".

Would that little extra height mean it would get fairly good reception in the down position? We often leave our antenna down in windy weather or for short stops and it is still usable for some channels.

Sitting in my drive way with the ant. up I get 18 solid clear channels. In the down position I still get 16 strong. The two missing are the National Wather Service and a channel that is almost 60 miles away.

Project of the day new 2 Gallon Bucket Light. Smaller than the more common 5 gallon version. Using a 60 watt CFL bulb.

Chief

I don't think I have ever seen a 60 watt cfl bulb. Nice light though.
