I'm seriously considering a boat for the trailer to ride out the floods on. Wish we could send this rain to California......
Chris got an add via email yesterday from the MN Woodworkers Guild for an emergency ark building class!

Decorating

Well, I finished my new curtains for our FC 20. I've even attached the grommets. Now I just have to figure out how the heck to hang them! Made them to cover that gap between the sides of the windows and the blinds.

Any ideas? I've though of those small stick-on hooks, but I'm not sure if that's the way to go or not.

The Rock Tamers logos are not attached. What if I leave them off? Can I buy inserts that say. "Toyota" or "Tundra" or "Airstream"?

You can buy the 'Airstream' inserts at airstream.com to replace the Rock Tamers one.

They look pretty low to the ground Hony. Have you hitched the trailer with them on? You don't want to drag your tamers home

It's an optical illusion. They are about 5" from the ground. 3-4" from the ground hitched up. If I ever drag, I can take them off, cut them off, punch new holes, and re-install them. I think it will be OK, but if it ain't...

You are actually supposed to measure for cutting with the trailer hitched. We'll find out in the morning if I did it right...

You're about right. Any less than 2.5 - 3" from ground when hitched will cause a lot of turbulence around the sides of the flaps and chipped limestone, in particular will pelt the outer sides of the corner protectors. At least that's my experience. Besides, they're adjustable.

I also like to keep a little forward "rake" to the flaps, rather than exactly vertical. That seems to force the airflow downward a bit.

I set them at vertical, and they have a "swept back" look. Maybe by having a little forward raked the flaps will actually hang level?
