I don't like white fiberglass on top of my Airstream ... and a good coat of paint will help protect the fiberglass. I have an open can of Aluthane and the gel coat isn't perfect on this shroud, either, so I wet sanded the rough spots before painting. It was spitting today, and I'm dealing with pinched nerves in my shoulders so I decided to do some other projects rather than climb on the roof.

I converted the porch light to LED with a MR16 LED bulb I had left over from the inside work; photo attached; I sealed up the top of the light housing with aluminum gutter seal to help keep dust and rain out.

It's a great cleaner and protector for the zolatone. Leaves a smooth clean surface, not sticky or tacky.

Rob put a dishwasher in ours today. It looks great and works so well and so quietly. It should save us a lot of water and time-- we have a large family and a lot of dishes!

Can you post before and after pics?

Put a lock on the propane gas tanks

I purchased padlocks from "BOLT" that one uses the ignition key of the TV as the key. They are available by Ford - GM - Chrysler specific models. Insert the key, turn fully to the right and it is set to your key.

I have several padlocks (they have a 2" space under the hoop witch has hardened steel), tow pin lock for the receiver and several cable locks.

I used one of the padlocks to lock down the propane tanks to slow down the casual thief.

I posted a photo of that installation that can be reached by clicking the photo number by Images below my avatar. I do not see instructions on how to get an image onto the post in the forum.

Onward...

Finally got around to completing the rear curbside banana wrap. Since they are aluminum and not ABS, it's quite a bit of work to replace one of those. Has to be cut to fit, primed and painted.
But sure looks cool on these 90's limited. I think they were also used on 1978 models.
