I want a pair of sway bracket jackets, but I can't tell whether I'd be getting the new ones or the old. On Amazon, the reviews all say they are still shipping the old design. I'd have to be sure of getting the ones that fit with the new L-Pin that with the snap bracket on it for easy installation and use, because after spending $20 for the jackets I don't want to have to be cutting on them to make them fit.

I bought directly from the manufacture and was concerned about this as well. I called and was told that the web sites image was old at the time, about 4 months ago but, that they are only shipping the new redesigned jackets. I also ordered the "L" pins and they are great!
Less noise too

I bought off Amazon, but went to Progress Mfg. to get the part number. Same part number should be the new design. I had spoken with Justin Andrew at Equal-I-Zer about ordering them, but the shipping was almost as the Sway Jacket Brackets, making a $20 gizmo $35! At least on Amazon it's a $16 gizmo becoming $24...

Got my Rock Tamers assembled and installed. Amazon has the best deal on them currently. Even if you want the Airstream version, order the unit from Amazon and buy the badges from Airstream. It will save you some $$$$.

My Rock Tamers are the least expensive ones on Amazon. I already got the. "Your order has shipped" email. Maybe they will get here this week and will get installed Saturday. I wonder if the Rock Tamers will hide the dent in my bumper...The Rock Tamers are half the price of a new bumper...

I paid $216 and change with free shipping. They didn't get in any big hurry shipping them to me.

Mine were less expensive, like $196 something...
but I paid shipping because I don't have a "Prime" account and I don't order off Amazon enough to pay $99 for a Prime account.
Sometimes I get my boss to order me things on his prime account.

So I have also been looking at these Rock Tamers. But I see Amazon (Canada) does not sell them and Amazon USA does not ship to Canada. So I sent an email to Rock Tamer themselves asking how or if one can even buy this product and get it shipped to Canada. It will be interesting to see what they have to say.
Oh the joys of cords-boarder shopping!

Are you planning any camping trips to the US?
You might could stop by an RV dealership and buy some in person.
As far as that goes, you might can buy them at an RV dealership in Canada.

Don't wait. Dents are inevitable... And pretty much forever.

Yesterday I swapped out the bedroom Fantastic Fan for a MaxxAir Fan, as we did in our previous Safari. Love it.

fits, sort of

New stainless steel outside furnace vent door,,, and a scratch.
Annoyed. Can't see the scratch to the clear coat, until you open the small door, its there in the lower right corner. More annoyed.
Have to replace that right side rivet that holds the hinge now. Its loose.
Annoyed. Door looks good. Don't open it.
In a holding pattern on the stainless water heater door. Have to fix this blasted hinge.
Have a good one!

3 Step Aluminum Stool

I bought a 3 step aluminum stool today to wash the top of the Tundra, load kayaks on the Tundra and wash the upper sides of the Airstream. It is made by Cosco, costs $34.95 at Target and only weighs 7 lbs. It is perfect for the job. Get you one!
