I got hitched up today, first time since November, moved a lot of snow and Ice to get this far. Off to Classic RV for maintenance work both inside and out.

We just made a bunch of more camping reservations-
Memorial Day, July 4th, and Labor Day at Yocona Ridge.
Balloons Over Grenada at North Abutment August 22-23.
The trailer is hitched up to go to Ferguson Audio and Video in the morning for a rear view camera system.
I will post pictures soon.
Come see us any time.

Too much stuff at Camping World:

2 FRESH TASTE FLTR

RETRO RV CORN PICKS, RV PICINC CLOTH WEIGHTS, RV SALT/PEPPER (These are cute and scream "neophyte trailer geek")

PINK FLAMINGO 2PK (DW doesn't know yet...she hates this idea :-) )

FOLDING TABLE W/BINS (60256) (may decide to use this instead of dinette table. May not. Want to see what we think)

TST ORANGE CHEMICAL

WARNING TRIANGLE 3PK

TRAILER AID

HANDI-HOSE 50' (already have a 25' but we're going to a rally in a field and they suggest bringing extra hose...)

CORD 30M/30F 25' (same rally suggests extensions for power...)

NEATER FEEDER (dog food and water bowls in a stand that catches spilled good and water - looks genius! )

Jonesin to get camping!!!

Since only 3/4 of a person can fit in the bathroom to work, I "supervised" from the dining area, handing in tools and paper towels as needed. To do the job, my husband had to kneel on the floor. From where I sat, I could butt, lower legs, and feet. Reminded me of confessionals of the old days, but "Bless me father" was NOT among the words coming from the bath. Finally, though, the "throne" was in place. However, the pipes did not meet. Three trips to Home Depot later, it is still a work-in-progress. Despite the frustration, though, my husband is having a great time tinkering with our "new baby." He's thinking about using flexible tubing to bridge the gap. Anyone with experience/suggestions along these lines?
It is certain that your effort will be fruitful by installing the "normal: commode. That was something that we dreaded was using the facility when we had our FC20 (loved everything else, however). Another issue was just how far you sit up - as the commode is mounted on the top of the retaining tank.

After measuring the roof with the installer this afternoon, we ordered two more GS-100 watt solar panels from AM Solar for our system bringing the total to eight 100 watt panels. He will also install the disk brakes and put the brake controller in the original battery box after some access modifications.

He will install the TriStar-60 MPPT solar controller in the back of the cabinet behind the dinette so it will not be visible along with a replaceable computer fan to pressure that mounting space for positive cooling air flow when the sun is shining. A custom stainless steel battery box will be mounted on the hitch for the four batteries Lifeline 6Vdc 300 amp-hour batteries. The Magnum MS2800 inverter/converter will be mounted under the sofa with cooling fans.

A ProPride. And a brake controller.

Not the fun stuff I am looking forward to, but, it is new so we need the basics.

Often half doin' costs too much. We purchased a 20' Airstream, then the 25'. Two hitches, then the ProPride. A 4.7 Tundra, then the 5.7 Ram.

I agree.
Just get what you really wanted to start with, especially if you have to borrow money to buy it-
Settling for less causes you to do it all over again.
I don't have a ProPride, yet, but I am happy with the Classic 30 and the Tundra 5.7.
My Equal-i-zer is a real good second best, but still second best.
If I had been aware of ProPride at the time, I might have "worked it into the deal".

I guess I could say we started with an $18,000 SOB with an EazLift hitch.
No, I didn't save $50,000 by not buying an Airstream in the first place, I wasted $18,000 on a trailer that I didn't want that could have gone toward the purchase price of the Airstream...
I did, however, have influence from the wife.
After a while I made an executive decision to do what I wanted to in the first place...
After all, that's what I did when I bought the truck, audio/video equipment, computer, guns, lawn equipment, clothes, etc.
If I listened to her all the time, I wouldn't have much in the way of material possessions, but I would have plenty of money and a boring life...

Are those stainless or aluminum?
Much nicer than the painted gray ones.

They are the originals custom painted with an automotive semi-gloss silver. They match well across a wide range of lighting conditions. About a week turn around. - Brad

A new porch light (scare light) assembly. Tried to put LED in old one but too much corrosion. I can't wait to see what I'm stepping on/in in the near future!

Well got me some new tires, polished the old hubcaps (the pic shows before and after) and the stovetop was ceramic coated. John
