I confess I got this idea from a member here, and I adapted it. Thanks.
I always found the sliding doors in the bath slid open while driving.
This concept uses a cabinet knob, a magnet, and a couple of metal plates.
I just picked the knob from my big box store, the magnets I already had with a #8 screw hole. The metal strips came from Amazon with a 3M adhesive that's very tenacious.

I put them at the bottom of the doors since there was less chance of being knocked off, I thought. Why the metal plate on the other door? To store the knob while the door is open!

Did you purchase and install the showermiser? If so how are you liking it. I’m thinking this will also my by next upgrade.

Bluetooth LP tank level sensor

We Harvest Host parked at Panels Up Solar in Laurel, MS recently. Justin Ford ( owner) showed us a number of things but the Mopeka Pro Check sonar tank sensor fit our needs perfectly. This sonar sensor mounts on the bottom of the LP tank and displays the level via phone app. Easy install.

I've got a slightly different Mopeka tank monitor system - they're great 90% of the time. The rest of the time it seems like they like to go on vacation and not connect and/or read levels. Better than nothing for sure.

Summer til now

Attachment 424971This summer I got the ceramic coating by Vinnie's Airstream and then ordered a stove. After three shipments I got one undamaged. My old stove worked fine but I wanted to upgrade. This one is a beauty. Suburban 3636A. It will require some alteration to the counter and cabinet. It has a flush mount top with glass and nice cast iron one piece grate, lighted knob area, stove light, etc. I know a lot of people are dumping the oven but I actually use it so... I often use induction burners at sites and save on gas. I like to have options.

I was not aware there was such a thing as a showermiser. I had the tech at Windish make up the gate I needed: one input: water from the water heater, and two outputs: one a return to the fresh water tank and the other to the shower.

I let the water un for a minute, diverted to the fresh water tank, and then turn the handle to it comes out of the shower head already hot.

How/what he did behind the shower wall, I am not aware, but I can ask if you want.

How happy are you with the ceramic coating? Is quite expensive. I had it done to cars, and… not sure It is worth the cost, they still get dirty and unlike what the guy that did the work told me, the dirt still sticks to it.

Ceramic coating

Had my 2006 classic ceramic coated at Vinny’s 18 months ago. It looks fabulous and cleans up easily. I scratched my rig rubbing against a guardrail in Alaska, took it back to Vinny’s and the scratch was buffed out. It was the whole side of rig and it was buffed out. Your rig will still get dirty but the clean up is pretty painless. I would have it done again.

I had it done in July and have not been camping since then. Yes, the coating is expensive. My purpose is to stop the filliform- mine was getting worse. The cleaning aspect is a perk- to me. My hope is that it will truly arrest the corrosion. My scratches (I have a few from camping experiences) did not disappear and they told me that going in that what was would still be there, just coated. I wanted to stop the aggressive change I was seeing in my camper since moving. The last four years I observed major corrosion starts. I believe the cost is justified if it halts the nasty! It will help the camper to hold its value.

I finished installing a Furrion 21" oven with flip-up glass stove top. Fit right in where my old Amana was located. It is a very handsome appliance.

Two things I really like: The stove top cast-iron grate is flat from side-to-side and front-to-back, so you can place a pan on it anywhere with no tipping. I also like the easy lighting oven (and burners).

Very nice - I really the look. Does the oven light with a twist of the know, or do you need to manually light the pilot?

Did you do the installation yourself? How long did the installation take, and where did buy the range?

Yes. The oven pilot light and stove top burners light with the piezo-electric ignitor (knob). Works great.

It took me a total of about 3 hours to install including removal of the old unit. I had to raise the level of the floor that the oven sits on, but the width and depth were right on. I bought the range from etrailer.com. The first oven arrived damaged (poor factory packaging) but the second was fine. Etrailer was good to work with on the returns.

Snow brush

Cleaned a foot of snow off the top of the trailer relatively painlessly. The wider side gets the loose snow and the narrower side gets the slightly denser stuff.

When I owned a MH, I thought the cabinet handles were chintzy. So I picked a nice one for $6, then I counted 50 handles and I decided "chintzy" trumped $300.

Added a MicroAir thermostat to the Sport.

It was quite simple to get it to work, now I need to tidy up the wires and mount it.

Pic shows the old unit and the new one.

I have had my eye on that stove, too. I like the glass window in the oven door as well as the interior light. I would also be replacing an Amana, so I’m encouraged to hear that the fit is good.

One hesitation I have though, is about the oven temperature and the lack of adjustment or calibration on the thermostat. A buddy of mine has the same stove in his Grand Design travel trailer and the oven temperature is about 116° lower than the setting on the knob. Furrion says the thermostat cannot be adjusted and I think they have a tolerance of 50° either side of the marking before they consider the stove defective.

Have you had a chance yet to test the oven temperature? I just spent some time the other day calibrating the thermostat on the Amana and I feel like I have it set right where it needs to be. But if I open the door to check on the food, then the interior temperature goes all crazy. I use a pizza stone on the plate directly above the burner.

Ho'onanea,

Ovens are notoriously inaccurate. I installed my oven and made sure it lights up, etc., but I have not checked the oven temperature controls accuracy. I will do so in the spring...

You need to use a manual thermometer to check it. We just installed a new double oven in our home. We found the actual temperature was 30 degrees lower than the digital setting. So, we ended up setting the oven 30 degrees higher than the digital setting to get 425 degrees we were shooting for. Easy.

Just get a decent manual thermometer to keep in the Furrion to check what it is actually doing.
