New motherboard, new main roller motor, new control panel (with kill switch) for the Zip Dee Relax electric / automatic awning on our 27FB. Oh and a whole bunch of labor time. Next trailer will have a manual awning.

Same here, I am facing a major repair bill on mine. Awning extends out a foot and then stops. Won't power back in. Manual on my next AS.

I guess the power awning on Airstreams needs to go the way of the slide-out...

Definitely something to be said about simplicity.

Still finding goodies for the galley. Wife found this gadget by Kohler that dispenses disinfecting cloths. One handed operation to pop open lid is helpful when your hands are full. No batteries or AC/DC power needed for something to go wrong...

4 - your wife finds the coolest things! YEAH WIFE!!! The pop up dispenser is a great idea but what really caught my eye was the portal window behind the dispenser. Please share more about the portal window treatment. If I miss that discussion in an earlier post please forgive me....thanks.

Not to speak for 4riveteers but those window treatments look like the CloZures Shutters. Here is a link: http://www.zarcor.com/rv_products/clozures/index.php

Yes. Thanks. Those are the ones we purchased from Zarcor, and we absolutely love them.

My wife loves the look of the portholes. She didn't like to cover them for privacy with the OceanAir shade. They're perfect for privacy unlike the OceanAirs that have a gap between the walls and shade.

We bought one for our bedroom too. Wife's bed is next to the porthole. She likes the privacy when she's lounging in bed but can still have the main window open and shade up.

I don’t have any place that needs them but I just thought they were really cool. Thanks for the information.

Installed my new Husky Super Brute 5000 jack today. This thing is a beast compared to my previous 3000 pound jack. Fast and super quite. Came with a couple of remote controls. The remote is cool addition but not sure how often it will get used.
Also woke up this morning to a dead battery in the Jeep. Jumped it and took a drive up to Sears. They gave it a system test and sure enough cranking amps were almost nonexistent. Had them install a new one. Of course it is special battery for the Hemi Overlander and cost a premium price. Better it went out now than this winter or on the road.

What did we get?

Q: What we get for our Airstream?
A: A bunch of money....

OK, technically we don't have it yet, but that's because we'll never see it.

While bringing in our 23D for a minor repair, we wandered around and started looking at all the new Airstreams. Next thing you know, we're getting pricing on the 27FB... Then agreeing to the numbers! Never really saw that coming!

So sometime next week we'll bring home a 2018 27FB!

Nice, please don't forget to post about what tow vehicle, hitch, and tires you will need to get.
