I'm not 4riveteers but have the same grate due to his post. It's a great addition. I was fully prepared to grind and sand something to get it to fit. I have a case of CRS, (can't remember stuff), but I think this is what I did to fit it in there. See the attached pic of the left side of the grate.

I attached all the rubber feet to the grate. I then removed the 3 screws on the left side that hold the stove top trim. I then lowered the right side under the trim screws on the right side. I was then able to drop the left side down. It was a tight fit, but it goes in there. I then re-installed the 3 screws on the left side. Those screws on each side will keep the grate from ever bouncing around when on the road.

Hope this works for you.

We escaped from Jacksonville about twenty-five years ago. We are so far out in the Florida Panhandle, we are in the Central Time Zone. Lucy has a spot in the alley behind the house. She is hooked-up and is available for guest quarters when needed.

We just got her decked out for the Holiday Season.

2 new 30lb aluminum propane tanks to replace one stolen a few weeks ago (took the fairly full one, and left the empty). And a lock! Counting it as our Christmas present to each other,
Also bought 2 new Blink cameras and dusk to dawn security light for trailer shelter.
The times they are a changing...
Got one of those nifty mechanics transmission lifts someone profiled here for our Airsafe hitch too. Now have winter to gussy it up for hitch use come spring.

I used a Harbor Freight cut off blade grinder to bevel (undercut) the left and right edges and feet of the grates. Then I notched where the screws were on ONE side. You insert the other un-notched side first under the screws. I also used the grinder to “trim” the pan support fingers so they were at the edge of each burner, not over it. Since we have two Airstream with this stove, the second job obviously turned out better.

Forgot to mention that my grates are easily lifted for cleaning under them.

We will have a workroom, cook area for our canning, a "man-cave", and still have room for three vehicles plus Trilla. So many options running through my mind - funny as I am more excited about the garaga-paloosa than my husband!

Oh, and I did get my trailer valet so we can move Trilla around without hitching up.

Finally ordered the Robert Cross method of roof sealing. Hope we have an equal amount of success. Might get some done before camping. Luckily it doesn't rain much here.Click image for larger version

Last Thursday was the first rain here (Apache Junction, AZ) since summer. The last rain showed a leak in the new house roof installed in late spring. This time with even more rain no leaks.

So far with both trailers in storage under roof, no leaks. Unfortunately we felt compelled to cancel our two planned local to Arizona trips this fall due to Covid.

I did order the white MicroAir thermostat for the 23D so we will have the same unit in both trailers. Makes it easier for my wife to operate.

New cabinet door latches. Not sure if I'm more excited that they have rollers on the new ones or that they have Phillips head screws. Not sure when Phillips were invented but these flathead screws in the 61 are a pain in the tookus.Click image for larger version

Got the new ZipDee Awning Pull Rod from Woodland Airstream and installed Timbren SES Suspension for my Explorer to keep it even when towing. It worked for my older Explorer so got one for my current Explorer.

Picked up the new upholstery for the front gaucho. Added two pillow shams for our regular sleeping pillows a headrest to keep the sun off the back of the cushion. A bag to put our bedding in and place behind the headrest and the two Legomatic chairs recovered. A dark orange.Click image for larger version

Table Top Upgrade

We always felt the original table top in our 27FB Globetrotter took up too much space when you walked in. We also read of other Airstreams that had U-shaped seating that appealed to us. We had a Corian manufacturer make a smaller table top and extra piece needed for the bed conversion to give us a different look in our dining area.

Attached are pictures that show the different options we have in our dining / living area. We are looking forward to seeing if it functions as we expect it to.
