The induction stove top sounds like a good mod.

It's not a built in, just more of a "hot plate." Boils water in 3 min and doesn't heat up the galley. Only downside is it is not boondock friendly as it consumes lots of watts. But having to rarely use propane has its pluses too. You need induction friendly cookware which means no glass or aluminum pots or pans but if the cookware sticks to a magnet it will work.

What Did You Get For Your Trailer Today?

Although don't pick up our first ever Airstream (2014 EB FB27), or RV for that matter, for a few more weeks, the DW spotted this beauty on a recent road trip to give a quilting trunk show and workshop. (The propane pig, Eddie, we've had for years and was going to join us in our AS travels but he might be a bit heavy. The flamingo, as yet unnamed, will travel with us.

Thanks, I remember on my parents "Barth" motor home they had one very similar. We plan on being at Jackson Center late August and will include it on our list

On a mouse proofing mission we noted some dripping water from the water inlet compartment- apparently the inlet/pressure valve was the culprit. Ordered a new one and no more leak!

Ordered the Maxis Skylight for our AS. White powder coated frame with clear outer dome, dark grey center and light grey flat inside. Should see them in a couple weeks.

repairs and maintance

POR 15 rust stop for all yes all exposed metal frame incl, spare tire carrier, propane rack, stabilizers, torsion housings and axles. stainless steel braided gas lines for propane tanks, replaced propane tanks (12 years old now). Replaced manual/auto knob for fantastic fan and new screen. Interior pop rivets, Screen door foam seal. Wheel bearing seals, greased bearings and checked the brakes. You might be thinking, when does he have time to camp? We covered 17 states and 20 thousand miles over two years and were taking the 3rd year to bring all our Airstream systems back to par. Can't wait till January 2018 to take off again for another 2 years.

For those with Airstream MHs, I've found that POR 15 also does justice to the exhaust system. It's not warranted to hold at temperatures as high as what the muffler, pipes, brackets, etc. experience, but I've found that it does. It discolors a bit (I used the silver) but it remains intact.

Finally got around to replacing the propane regulator! I put new tank supply lines on 3 years ago, but they were in desperate need of replacement as well. ( Apparently, they just don't make them like they used to)

I've read before that accumulation of oil in the supply lines can hamper performance of stove top & water heaters. While everything was apart, I disconnected the gas line back at the water heater and blew high pressure CO2 through the line and removed almost an ounce of oil from the lines!

2x Battleborn 100Ah Lithium batteries
Victron 702 battery monitor
Victron 100/30 MPPT solar charger
Victron VE Bluetooth dongle

Last but not least:

2 Zip Dee folding chairs in charcoal grey. I wanted these since we bought the trailer, so I figured the time was right!

Wallet now back on hiatus for a couple of months!

Purchased 5 yds of rip-stop nylon and put together a screen room using an existing screen attachment for an EZ-Up tent. Made it to fit our ZipDee awning. Posted a couple photos on our restoration thread, post #30, https://www.airforums.com/forums/f39...er-155180.html .

The 'Desert Tortoise' got new shoes today. A set of the E rated Goodyear Endurance tires now grace the trailer.
