AM/FM Radio Antenna

Finally got around to installing a new antenna to replace the one that was integrated with the roof mounted TV/Radio antenna that a PO sheared off with a tree or something. The original 1976 Motorola Entertainment system still works like a champ and is picking up radio stations out of NC. For now, that radio is a keeper. Even the 8-Track still works.

I got it from ODM. It does look exactly like the one from AS so I'm assuming that is their source.

And when I said to use it as a "work" surface I meant it as a surface to lay thing on. It is definitely not for stepping upon! But thanks for the reminder!

ProPride recommends lubing the bearings every 1000 miles, so I like to carry a grease gun with me on longer trips. However, I'm getting tired of the oily mess that thing leaves wherever it's stored--especially here in the hot Texas sun. I finally broke down and bought the Lube Shuttle grease gun. These guys have figured out how to make one where the grease stays where it's supposed to--at all times. Now my garage floor and RC tool bag can stay clean!

Looks like a great gun.

You mean lubing the pivot points on the WD bars, correct?

Yeah, the zerks for the bars--that's what I meant. I had just finished lubing the bearings on my riding mower when I wrote that message. I got my stories crossed...

All this home confinement is getting to me. I need to stop drinking and posting.

Very awesome. May have to hit you up on how you wired in and where you put the on/off switch. Definitely going to be adding that to the mix. Currently focusing on solar/off grid solutions at the moment.

Emblem Sun Protector

Somewhat lame upgrade but after repainting sun facing “International” badge a few times, crafted a soft painted cardboard visor preventIng color fading while parked at home.

Erasing negatives........

I ordered new containers of Kanberra Gel tea tree oil odor eliminator and Happy Camper black tank treatment. My Airstream likes smelling fresh and clean when she goes out road tripping. She’s saucy that way...

Your Emblem looks great, mine is faded just like yours was. Could you please provide a pic of the UPC label on the back of the cans so we may know what part number to order?

Thank you!

With Ronnie Dennis’ (GMFL) advice and help during our recent upgrades, we changed rear view camera systems to the Haloview RD10 Rearview Mirror/Dashcam, and we’re very happy with it. The rear view monitor looks and acts just like a rear view mirror, whether the trailer is attached or not, and it incorporates a dash cam, which we did not have previously.

In our installation, the camera is mounted magnetically to the hatch of our Eddie Bauer, for easy removal when not needed, and to avoid holes.

The wired booster is mounted inside the propane cover, and the wire between the camera and booster is secured under the trailer. A few feet of wire stores in the back bumper when it’s not needed for the camera. The booster pulls power from what was the battery box area, prior to a lithium install. All connections are waterproof.

The booster transmits wirelessly to the rear view mirror monitor/dash cam that mounts over the existing mirror with a rubber harness. The monitor is touch operated, well executed, and gets one more item off the dash. It holds an SD card to record both forward and rear activity, as desired. The monitor is powered by DC in the cab. The front camera is 1080, the rear is 720.

So far the system is performing very well, with no freezing or perceptible lag, and gives the impression of “seeing through” your trailer when towing. We love it. Thanks again Ronnie!

Joe

Actually this was yesterday..........

It's invisible, but I had 18oz. of R-22 refrigerant added to the A/C yesterday.....not bad for a 44 year old A/C with all original parts.

Installed a Sirocco II Fan in the hallway to improve air circulation, particularly getting warm furnace air from the front to back of the trailer. Works great, as others have noted in the forum.

The first shot is the fan deployed. The second shot is the fan folded away. The fan can be aimed to the back or front. I ran the 12v from the driver side closet behind the pocket door overhead trim.
