SeeLevel II tank monitoring system 709-P3 with three "SE" sensors cut to 5 segments or 7 1/2". Replaced the original MicroPulse tank monitoring system on our 2013 FC 30 RBQ. I had to call the company this morning to verify that "P00" means 100% and not 0%, when testing the Signal Strength. Now to get the sensors permanently stuck to the tanks. Used the MicroPulse telephone wires to connect the two wire sensors and ran a new power line from the power distribution box with a 15 amp fuse for the pump, since the switch is limited to 7.5 amps and added a relay. All in all not a bad project. Spent more time thinking about it compared to doing the job. Our trailer already had access points to the gray and black tanks and the fresh tank access is from inside the trailer.

In addition they installed the new EasyTouch thermostat. Really cool unit you can control with an app on your phone via Bluetooth or Wifi.
Only issue is the screw holes exposed with the smaller unit. They are working on an interface plate that will cover them. Photo attached. Meantime any ideas???
So I assume you went to their facility in Allentown, NJ. No where on their website states that they do installs? If so, did you just take your trailer there with an appointment and wait?My local RV dealer isn't interested in this job. Until I get my knees replaced I don't think I could kneel on that roof for an hour or so doing the install myself. I hate getting up on the roof as it is.

I seen a previous post on this and the person [i think it was Bob] installed the old fluorescent bulbs over the strips to "soften" the Bright LED effect. Might be too late for your install

I called them and set up an appointment. I was in and out in 2 hours with the easy start and the new easytouch thermostat installed. Dual purpose as I got my rig out on the road for the first time since the fall.

got Weathertech mud flaps and took me 30 minutes to install all 4. Will add a couple inches of hard rubber to the new mud flaps.

What Did You Get For Your Trailer Today?

Late report, now that the stuff is installed:

3/8 inch quick connect to supply lots of propane through 20 + feet of 1/2” id hose to a Champion 3500 dual fuel inverter generator. Note the shutoff valve for safety and to shut the generator down whilst clearing propane from the lines to the generator regulator.

A bit of plumbing madness to hook it all up to the replaced old OEM hose from the regulator. Plus a quickly accessible propane shutoff valve for fire safety.

Main battery cutoff switch on the positive side of the two GC-2 batteries. Needed a heat gun and a chunk of wood to put the bulge into the cover of the double outlet weather cover so it would close and latch.

The Department of Overkill Engineering special power operated WD tension jack on street side. Similar on other side. Lazy man’s way to set tension. Needs one finger to operate and a tape measure.

Front generator inlet upgrade. The aft power inlet is also upgraded. Much better connector setup and easy to plug in. Push on and wiggle left-right a bit to seat solidly. Plus it’s more watertight.

Department of Overkill Engineering has been busy lately.

I'd make a wood plaque that matches something else. Big enough to cover the holes, then mount the new thermostat on that.

A black plastic plate or aluminum or even wood and then mount the thermostat on that

I recall someone had one made by a supplier of boat decking. You can get teak look, or a name added.
Anyone remember who supplied these? They also did a battery box cover.

I'm closing in on the product. It's called "SeaDek" and can be custom ordered.

Aqua Marine Deck. They have the measurements I sent for both the narrow and wide body units. Ask for Thomas.

Easy Touch Thermostat

I really liked the Easy Touch thermostat that jamieb1086 had installed in his trailer. I contacted Micro-Air tech support over the weekend and found out it is not compatible with the CCC (Comfort Control Center) that I have in my trailer. If enough of us contact them with interest in upgrading, however, they may consider making a compatible unit. If you are interested, contact their technical support people at help@microair.net and let them know. Below are pictures of the CCC and the Easy Touch.

Hi Trucker, which step did you go with. Can you provide the model number. I am considering changing out the single metal one that came on the Sport.

Thanks,

PB
