Last week Missy got us a vanity plate for the trailer "Sylvie 1". Today I got a two pack of storage compartment light lenses for $3.49 at Giant Recreation World. The grill shifted in the rear compartment and cracked the original. Now I have a spare.

Bedroom Night Stand Outlet and USB Center

I installed an outlet and USB center on the back of our night stand. We added 4" of memory foam to both beds and that covered the one outlet making it difficult to plug things in. Just uncounted the night stand and moved a little to take advantage of the gap in the back to run power cord. Velcroed outlet down for now. No holes.

Got in serious "trouble" hanging her very special new airstream ornament on this years tree......that immediately slipped off smacking the tile floor. Sh!!t

At 1/2 it's size, still put it up but any reference I get her "look" that's probably not going away soon.

To K G Ritchie. How did you seal the screws for the solar panel mounts.? I am thinking of vhb tape rather than screws, then smother with Dicor.

IKEA Hack lightweight dinette table & AGM Battery Bank

In our 23D, we never make-up the dinette as a bed, but do use our laptops a lot.
The stock table was just a little too wide to be comfortable, so we hacked an IKEA "Hilver" table top and leg to fit.

The Hilver is a composite "sandwich" with bamboo top, bottom and sides, and a paper honeycomb core. I cut it to 42 inch length, glued and pin-nailed a hardwood cap over the exposed honeycomb on the end, and added a couple of coats of Tru-oil finish.

I made a 7 degree tapered shelf from some scrap mahogany (to match the inclination of the front bulkhead), and screwed it into the same screw holes as the stock fixtures. Everything is easily reversible to the stock set-up.

It likely saves about 5-10 pounds of tongue weight, but more importantly is much more comfortable as an actual TABLE.

Note the red marine battery switch beneath the front heater vent.
I added two Lifeline 6V batteries (220 Ah) under the couch (battery bank 2) and removed one of the 24D batteries from the front battery box (now battery bank 1). LThe banks are charged separately. All battery cables are 4 gauge double insulated welding cable, and there's a short cable from the switch common terminal to the inverter fuse.

To the left side of the table top is an AT&T hotspot; the coax for an external Yagi cell antenna runs down behind the cushion and out to the battery box through the unused flexible conduit (formerly used for the inverter cables). No more Faraday Cage effect; we were getting 4 bars worth of 4G LTE at a Texas state park where we we previously struggling to get a couple of bars of 3G.

Replaced the standard single stage Parallax charger/converter with a 55 amp, 4 stage Progressive Dynamics unit. Love the "maintenance" setting.

About 320 amp-hours total available. Contemplating putting the front battery in a removable battery box so it can be used with a trolling motor on a canoe for Gulf Coast bird-watching.

Loaded for camping, the Sherline says the tongue weight is 740 lbs.
