Bumper pad

I have a friend that owns Aqua Marine Deck. The pad material is closed cell marine foam. Same stuff used on ski boat swim platforms. He can cut an rout custom patterns. I am in the process of getting a list of people who are interested together some we can get bulk pricing. Let me know
He did 2 sets of bumper and battery box pads for me.

Very nice addition! The same or similar material comes standard on the Eddie Bauer rear bumper. The EB bumper door is also reinforced with a metal bar along its length underneath so that the door can hold your body weight without bending (much). JOe

I like the extruded aluminum bumper storage cover on some of the 80's trailers.
Does anyone know where to source that cover?
Or a stainless steel cover?

I am very interested, depending on the cost.

In my case, I have gotten some scratches and other blemishes on both the top of the battery box and bumper, probably from sitting things on there from time to time. So it would be to cover that up and protect them from further problems.

I'm interested in pricing as well. Is that what the Eddie Bauer models have on their bumper covers or do they have a completely different cover? It would be cool if you could get "Airstream" cut into it like the Eddie Bauer cover.

I'd like a set either with no logo or Airstream logo. A set for the inside of the exterior hatch doors would be nice too. I have places felt strips on the inside of my hatch doors as I slide and set stuff on the doors when open.

My idea for a Guard / Preventer for water heater switches

Sometimes while fiddling in the dark of night for the bathroom light switch, I have inadvertently turned on the water heater. So far, no damage as I have quickly shut it down. It would not be an issue except that we often dry camp and the accidentally energized water heater would go kaput in short order if either the gas or electric were activated.

So, after contemplating options ... how about a nifty "guard" to prevent accidental actuation of the water heater switches. It is a piece of small diameter stainless steel rod bent in a wide U-shape to fit around the switches and plate ... I drilled through the plate and into the wall a short bit ...voila`. It is positioned at the peak of the rocker switch and is a "press' fit to allow easy removal if necessary. This, of course, would work for most switches - just make sure to allow room for your fingers under / between the bar and switch to actuate the switch.
