Jokes aside, my 34' took 34, just on the inside, no tail lights. Just the lights around the mirror in the bathroom took 6 and the main dome light took 6 as well.

Having been a 66 Tradewind owner before my 345 MH, the MH thread has been great fun with a lot of neet stuff show up. I'm sure there is as much with the TT community. Can't wait to see the results!

Ordered the exorbitantly-priced Polyshim II for doing the vista view windows today. Costs as more in shipping than the item! But, if I can get clear, un-cluttered vista-views instead of those little curly-kews of junk between the two panes, it'll all be worth it! It's an Airstream, right!

In the past few weeks:

New propane hoses and regulator.

I stripped the vinyl ceiling cover off the front of the camper. This involved buying Goo Gone, dust masks, and other supplies.

New fiber gear for the jack - it stripped.

New connection at the pump for the water - the old polybutelene pipe was fine but the gasket in the connection broke and was leaking air when I was winterizing it, so I figured it would leak water as well, sooner or later. This involved some jury-rigging with sharkbites and Pex and a Polybutelene-to-Pex converter.

New TV antenna crank handle and related parts - the old handle was cracked and the piece that goes on the ceiling came off the vinyl in 4 pieces, so I replaced all of it to get that white look again.

Still to do: Test the water system for leaks. Scrape the rust off the stabilizer jacks. Repack the bearings and check the brakes (the last two might not get done before the first trip if it's too cold yet). I'd also like to scrape and repaint the entire A-frame - the warnings about those metal plates under the lifter bar brackets rusting the A-frame are RIGHT on target.

Today we ordered a new black water tank.

Please excuse my ignorance, but what are the benefits of a remote controlled jack, considering the fact that it will continously drain your battery and could be a potential safety hazard ("butt dialing your jack while doing 60 mph"...or "Daddy what does this button do...." push, push ,push)?

Leveling is the primary reason. Being able to step away, look at the trailer/bubble with a beverage in my hand and say "yep... that'll do 'er". For the continuous drain, I'll be installing a switch with the in-line fuse to turn it off while in storage/camping.

For butt dialing, the remotes have a sliding cover to prevent that. It's up to the user to remember to engage said cover.

After spending thousands of Dollars in fancy improvements and upkeep, I just purchased the most incredible and awesome safety equipment...
2 Electrical wire nuts.....
While I was inspecting the break-away cable, I found TWO (2) HOT 12v wires dangling in the wind. Combine a few little sparks with some O2 and Propane.....

Thank you PO! I suppose those wires used to go to the electric Jack and maybe a light?? The new Jack has a much heavier gauge wire going directly to the battery.
