Interesting. First I have heard of anyone doing this. Details?

I really like the concept but I don't trust myself to execute it properly. I assume there are places that will do this for you?

I found it surprisingly easy and straight forward. US Carb sells converted Yamaha generators. Check out their web site or give them a call.

I just received it on Thursday. Installing it Monday. Fireboy self activating marine fire extinguisher model MA2-025-FE241 that I purchased from West Marine. I'd been considering it and then a post by 2dabeach with a picture and info from him I bought it. I like the idea as a little insurance.

There is a thread. Once I get it installed I'll post pictures.

Mike

I don't know about AWCHIEF's generator conversion, but I gotta tell you, today Bruce coached me through the installation of two Genconnex propane conversions for my Honda 2000 and companion unit. I am the least handy person on the planet and after learning everything by mistake on the first one, the second one was less than an hour! Trust me when I tell you, if I can do something like this - ANYONE can!

The Genconnex kit installs inside the case and puts a quick connect propane fitting in where the gas cap used to be. The Genconnex folks built a custom hose set up for me that taps the LP port (low pressure) and taps off to a T fitting that connects with the two gennies.

We also connected them and ran the heat pump in the trailer. No problem! I am so psyched about having this setup with propane! Much better, cleaner and more convenient than gas. Highly recommended!

Decided to modify the rear dinette. Ordered a Lambright recliner that matches my Airstream's Ultraleather.

Well I finally pulled the trigger on the new awnings for the rear window and the street side windows. Install was a piece of cake. Did not follow the directions for the street side awning, found a better way through my friend, Harry K.

No, but there was a lot of pulling the trigger on the screw gun, in prep for the
rivets!
